Nuclear Throne
I hate level 3.3
Its completely ridiculous. I don't even die to the dog boss. Its the fact that I spawn in a huge open area, with tonnes of enemies in the centre and snipers who shoot and kill me when I can't even see them on the screen.

To hand out tips i need more specific problems you got, other than that just clear a bit of the map to make cover for when the doggo is spinning
My problem isn't really the boss, hes easyish to deal with. Its more the fact that I'm spawned in a plain with tonnes of enemies shooting at me (plenty of which i can't see) and theres like 0 cover
The snipers can be a bit tricky if they spawn behind the boss, cause they can shoot trough it and not you ^^ In that case, you have to use mobility to esquive the sniper shoots while fighting the boss. It's usually not that hard because snipers has a pattern (lock his angle of fire in your position, then fire after a second)

What weapons/mutation/character do you bring for that fight?

I usually go with steroids or... idk what hes called, illuminati dude. I usually go for hp ones, less health on enemies, homing bolts if a bolt weapon, longer arms on a melee weapon.

I often go for melee weapons if its a good one (wrench, sledgehammer, shovel, etc) otherwise I usually go for a crossbow or something that deals high damage, as well as a normal thing like a regular bullet gun.

It's tricky too, but you can kill the snipers from afar with a very good timing (listen to the sounds he make), and a melee weapon ^^. It's very satisfaying when you pick the exact moment to counter the sniper shoot and give back his medecine. I sometime do that as a "fun time" if I have a 1Vs1 with a sniper.

For the 3-3 boss, your key is maybe to ignore it as long you haven't clean most of the level. It mean you should have precision moves to pass through his pattern of bullets. It's not very difficult, as they flight slowly.

Thanks. I'm quite new to nuclear throne, so is the idea of melee weapon/bullet weapon+high damage weapon good?

Yes! But you should not be too attached to a set of weapons. As you progress through the game, you will find a perticular weapon well suited for a level and your playing style. For example, if you can bring a minigun with full ammo to the 3-3, you will probably have an easy time if you empty them here. And switch to a bolted-one for the 4-1 ^^ (and will be probably low on bolts after 4-1).

If after some experiments you plan a bit ahead your weapon/ammo management and anticipate when to save ammo (most of the time ^^) and when to spray and pick another weapon, I think it will help you ^^

Also, with Steroids, keep in mind whether or not you want to try and take Throne Butt to regenerate ammo by firing one or both weapons. I don't think it works for melee + gun, so you'll want to plan ahead a bit for something like that - although you never quite get all the mutations you want, haha.

Also, I don't know how far in you've gotten, so I'll try not to spoil anything, but one of the 'high-level' mutations is very good far replenishing ammo of all kinds, so Steroids can be a little more free to explore powerful but ammo-heavy weapons.

The snipers give away their position from the laser sights. Aim at the origin of the laser, even if it is off screen, you will probably get em.
Get hammerhead mutation and your set
Shoot the enemies until they're dead.
Unless you're playing an earlier build, you won't spawn right out in the open.
You'll have at least a partial 'base box' to defend from at the start.
You might have to camp out from there until you've cleared the immediate area.
When the boss on 3.3 wakes up though, you're better off getting out of there.

One thing you should do when facing many enemies is hug the walls.
Always stay close as you can to them.
It can help you narrowly avoid bullets and even melee attacks.
