Complete a mission without using a single Command Point

So I'm trying to get this achievement but...it turns out that's impossible! The game automatically uses command points to unjam bolters without my permission. There appears to be no option to completely forbid CP usage.

So I ask the developers: what were you thinking? How are we supposed to accomplish this?
Reload a savegame every time a jam happens and hope it doesn't happen again? That's kinda lame.

Its easy. Dont use over watch. Pick a mission where you got to exit the area. set your marines up to block halls so the marines that need to get to exit can make it. Put the blocking marines on guard and run like he## :)

Not using overwatch is suicide, since you'll get overwhelmed in no time. Basically like I said, you would have to reload savegames a lot.

No, it's not easy. Like I said:

Seems like a badly designed achievement. They could have at least added an option to the game that turns off automatic CP usage.

Lol dude been there and done it a few times. Not as easy on hard mode but on normal mode can be done easy. what you got to remember is a few of the missions you only have to get a few guys out so the rest you let die, but they will hold the stealers up for atleast a turn or more and on normal with as many as six CP's it can be done pretty easy. Im done talking about it though. Told you how it can be done, up to you to do it or not.

You don't understand, do you? You can't use CPs. That's the condition for getting the achievement.

It can be done. It´s not VERY easy, but achieveable.
If it were IMPOSSIBLE as you suggest, extremely few would have the Achievement AT ALL.

No you dont understand. You use the CP's to run out with the 2 or 3 marines you have to get out to complete the mission the rest you use there regular points for to put them on guard. The mission im thinking of being the best to do is the one at the end of the 1st campaign. use the librarian to block the exits from the lower levels to the upper. use lightining claws on guard if you have to and use the assault cannon to shoot the stealers as the come out of the rear lower level hatch. And I dont mean use him in over watch, use him to shoot them. Yes he will prob die but he will keep them off of you so that the sgt the Librarian and the claws can get away. So either use claws to block or the cannon and the other 3 get away with no CP's. What I meant in last post by 6 CP's is that you use the CP's to run with not for over watch. lol and this time I really really am done talking about it.

Once again, you clearly don't seem to understand what this achievement requires. You are not allowed to use any CPs during that mission. AT ALL.

And achievements are not supposed to be something you can earn by doing the blatantly obvious.

You know you may be right not thinking about using them to run. However you can still do it same way as I said. Been so long since I did it wasnt thinking about not being able to use them when you run. However still workks same way use the assault cannon to shot them on the last mission and run the other guys out. You can use the librarian to block the entry points. I have the achievement so I know it can be done and I did it with out saving a game.

Play mission 2. Move 3 guys into a dead-end room and line them up on the back wall. You will find the std action points are enough to repell the GeneStealers. Don't place anyone in Overwatch. This works. I say this because I have the achievement and that is how I got it. There is nothing in my above statements that requires you to use Command Points. This can be done. It is now vitally important that you take the BLUE pill.
