Dev Update – New Throwing Knife Tricks

Hello Bandits!

Spring is finally here, so we're sending warm seasonal greetings to all members of the Thieves’ Guild! 🌸

Today we wanted to share a quick update on what we’ve been working on recently. During the last Playtest, we received a lot of helpful feedback from players. One suggestion that came up quite often was the desire for more variety in combat and attack options.

So lately we’ve been experimenting with new ideas for the throwing knife system. We’re currently testing a few additional attack variations, including new throwing styles and combo effects, with the goal of making combat feel more dynamic and interesting.

These features are still being refined, but we’re excited about how they’re shaping up and will continue polishing them as development progresses! Our goal is for the combat sections in the full version to offer more gameplay variety for players to experiment with.

what I'd like to see in this game!

I really enjoyed this game and I really liked the gameplay and much more, I would like to see a customization of your own thief it would be cool to play a thief you created yourself, I can't wait for it to come out to discover its whole story, for the rest this game is already on my wishlist, developer if you read this message if you add a customization of your own thief between male or female or other species even if maybe each species has a different ability like I know cat breed when it catches fish for...

Hello Bandits,

It’s been over a month since the second Playtest went live. During this time, we’ve seen plenty of clean heists, smooth escapes, and clever strategies—and we’ve also received a lot of valuable feedback from the community. Thank you so much for all your support and for taking the time to share your thoughts with us!

A Small Playtest Update 🛠️

While development continues behind the scenes, we’ve quietly rolled out a small update to the current Playtest build. This update mainly focuses on fixing a few issues reported by players, including:

Improved enemy vision indicators
Fixed text line-wrapping issues in the English version
Resolved display problems on resolutions other than 1920×1080
Fixed a rare crash that could occur when triggering Fever Time on certain maps

New Stage: Harbor City 🏙️

Welcome to Harbor City, a vibrant seaside metropolis buzzing with merchants, chatter, and... suspicious activity. Why does the city feel tense beneath all the glitz and glamor? Who’s pulling the strings behind the scenes?

Wander through the bustling streets, gather intel (and supplies), and team up with your justice-seeking crew to uncover the truth and restore peace to the harbor.

First Look: Skill Tree System 🌳

Now you can unlock new abilities through the all-new Skill Tree! It’ll cost you a bit of coin, but every upgrade will make your next heist smoother and slicker. Think of it as reinvesting your “borrowed” income into your criminal career. 😎

First Look: Warning Letters System 📜

Collect special warning letters during your missions and boldly announce your next heist in advance!

Broadcasting your intent gives you useful bonuses... but might also make things a bit more difficult.
Sometimes, the effects are weird, unexpected, or just too tempting not to click. 😆

Will you take the risk for more bonuses? It's all up to you.

First Look: Equipment Crafting 🧵

Blueprints may be hidden in side quests, secret areas, or well-guarded corners of each level. Bring them back to your base and you’ll be able to craft special gear to elevate your thief aesthetic and performance. Stealing is a "craft", after all. 🍷

Over 650 Collectibles (and Counting!) 🎁

We’re not going to ask how you got your hands on so much treasure. We’re just here to give you even more. Take some time to read the item descriptions—they won’t boost your stats, but they might boost your joy. And isn't that the whole point? 😊

That's most of the new features covered for this new version! This new Playtest takes around 45 minutes to complete...unless you’re the type who checks every nook and cranny. Then it might take a while. 👀

Save File Reminder📌

You can’t save during missions! Your progress auto-saves only when you return to the hideout. So make sure you’re well-prepared before heading out.

WePlay Culture Expo

We’ll also be attending WePlay Expo 2025 in Shanghai this November 22–23. If you’re there, come visit us and try the latest version in person. We hear there might even be special gifts for those who do.

Please add Korean when released

Please consider adding Korean language support. I believe many Korean players would be interested in this game, but the lack of Korean localization may prevent them from trying it. There are also many translation community members who would be happy to help translate voluntarily in exchange for being credited in the game. I would strongly recommend avoiding Unity’s default automatic translation, as it often produces unnatural results. Instead, using Gen AI tools or working with native speakers could le...
