Lost My Save After Updating the Game Today!!!!

The title says it all but wow! I was happy that Ubisoft fixed the fullscreen issue today only to find out that my save was wiped out completely, therefore the game is asking me to start a new game.....BRAVO, UBISOFT! I AM SO DEVASTATED RIGHT NOW!!!! Anyone else have this issue?

Nope, my saves are still there. I guess it's a good practice to install Steam and Ubisoft's crappy parody of it on any other disk than where Windows is installed. Just in case.

Can't say that I've got my saes deleted, but after checking my "273" folder (which implies that my AC IV:BF is from Ubi$oft Connect) I did saw a few saves with the *.delete extension, so perhaps removing it might restore yours if you still have any.

And if your AC IV:BF was acquired through Steam then it might be better to check this post.

Maybe Microsoft should buy Ubisoft next? They seem to have fixed COD servers after Activision acquisition and Overwatch 2 is going to be on Steam as well.

Thanks for the warning. I saw the update icon and thought to check first. I really use to like ubisoft but they deserve the title of the most hated publisher

Just checked after my heart stopped a few seconds when I read this post, but my save is there. Hope you can fix it.

My save games got nuked sometime in the last few weeks. They're still gone. =/

I have the same issue, saves are gone after the second last (2023) update. was nearly 100% put more hours into that game than anyone probaly did developing it lol. $#@%

I used that work around to replace my Single Player *.exe file for the veriosn previous to the latest July's 4th, but somewhat cleverly also enabled Ubi$oft Connect to still be able to update the game and that's why I probably wasn't affected by this whole ordeal.
