Nvidia game doesn't start / launch Fix (atiadlxx.dll)
[Update]

So a little update because a lot of ppl mention that this works. Love the reply about WB telling ppl they wont be abble to play ... but yet they do.. :) (http://steamcommunity.com/app/241930/discussions/)

!Warning! This probably wont work with an ATI graphics card, it wil break your ATI driver.

[update 2]
I finally figured out what this file is :)
atiadlxx.dll is loaded as a .Net assembly module within the process CCC.exe (Catalyst Control Center by ATI Technologies Inc.).

Oke, so i had the problem that the game didn't start. On starting the game from shortcut or from steam, the game would appear to do nothing. On closer inspection the game (ShadowOfMordor.exe) would run for a few seconds then stop. In the eventlog you would see a Application error from ShadowOfMordor.exe

I discovered the last thing that is loaded is a AMD ati dll. I had a ATI video card before, but not anymore (Nvidia GTX 660 now). All ATI drivers are uninstalled (or so i think). The DLL is C:\Windows\System32\atiadlxx.dll. rename this to atiadlxx.dll.bak and my game started.
I have since discovered that you can actually rename the file back after 1st play. When the config files are written it doesn't try to load this file again.

You may also try the cfg file fixes as described here (http://segmentnext.com/2014/09/30/middle-earth-shadow-of-mordor-errors-crashes-tweaks-and-fixes/).

if anything more comes up ill let you know.

There isn't such a thing as a universal fix for when your PC game doesn't work.
First you need to determine what the problem is and then search for the appropiate fix or in a worst case scenario a hardware upgrade.

So my first question is: what are your hardware specs and operating system? The second: could you discribe the problem?

My problem being the game wont launch atall. Just says preparing to boot game then nothing comes of it. Its pretty odd because my game actually ran the first time i tried it perfectly, watched the big scene then played for 15 mins completely fine then had to go out. This was 5 days ago and ive been having that problem ever since.

System specs

Win8 -64 bit (6.2 Build 9200)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz
8GB RAM
DirectX11
AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
AMD radeon grahpics processor (0x6819)

Also went for an error log not sure if this will help

That's a weird one. You have a anti-virus program installed right?
Dukie 5. Okt. 2014 um 6:41
Wait a minute... did you have a Nvidia GPU in that machine before and recently upgraded with a AMD GPU?
Benj 5. Okt. 2014 um 6:42

@ Benj

Yeah I've been google searching but so many things can cause that ntdll.dll error it's almost impossible to know from here how to fix that. Ranging from software issues to hardware issues. Hopefully someone else will come along that had that problem and fixed it can help you.

Sometimes when it is best to do a clean sweep of your HD and a fresh OS install, but that's the last thing I guess you want to do. Anyways keep it in mind as a last resort.

I'm sorry, I tried mate.
