HD textures
Can I get the texture pack and still run it on max? I know it says 6gb of vram but that must be for like 4k resolutions.

XFX R7 260X

AMD A10-5800k black edition

8gb 1600mhz ram

Thanks

On a 2gb card? No.

Apparently workd fine on 3gb cards @ 1080p

Seriously? I saw a couple people running it on 2gb cards
The texture pack doesn't work properly with 3GB, unless you can put up with a lot of stuttering. The only people that said it did were playing the game at launch and the ultra textures didn't download properly and didn't work.

I tried it on my GTX 970 (3.5 GB + 0.5 gb snail speed memory) and I got butter smooth play interrupted by occasional, but for me very annoying stutters. I switched back to the highest normal texture setting and everything was fine.

IMHO the homeopathic visual difference isn't worth bearing with any kind of performance impact at all and at everything below 3 GB that impact most certainly is there. If my card is getting it because 4 GB is not enough or if it's because the last 0.5 GB is very slow: I don't know. Maybe someone with a GTX 980 could shed light on that, but turning this on on a 2 GB card can't be a good idea in any case.

what card are you using? I saw reviews for it and someone with a GTX 770 which is more or less the same as mine ran it fine

I've heard it needs 4gb or more for ultra textures, i tried with 3gb 7970 1080 but it runs out of memory and starts stuttering, textures on high it uses slighlty under 3gb.
