Will Inquisitor be available in other languages as well?
Aside from the Czech language in which the game was originally released, we are not able to translate the game into any other language ourselves. But we put together a localization kit and are ready to help anyone interested in translating Inquisitor into their own language. Just contact us through this form[feedback.cinemax.cz].

All currently running text works:
• None that we would know of.

All finished translations:
Czech translation: The Czech translation is available on Steam now.
Spanish translation: The Spanish translation is available on Steam now. Prepared by David Mota Robles and his team.
French translation: The French translation is available on Steam now. Prepared by Alexandre "All_zebest" Mangin and his team.
Italian translation: The Italian translation is available on Steam now. Prepared by Marco "Colmar" Colombo and his team.
Russian translation: The Russian translation is available for download here[www.zoneofgames.ru]. (thanks to Shyne for the link)

Did I read Spanish translation? Outstanding! Definitely, this title will be in the list of my future purchases.

In German it would be great. My English is not so good that it make sense to play this game.:D:

Please make czech language pack somewhere available for steam version.
Kovi Aug 9, 2013 @ 2:05am
We plan to add the Czech language pack as soon as possible. We just have to find the best way how to do that.

As far as the German translation is concerned, let's hope some German fans of Inquisitor will get interested in translating the game soon.

Whom would I have to ask if I would be interested in helping for German Localization? Well, I have to say clearly, that I am not quite an academic person, but I know someon highliy academic whom I might ask regularly for help. This guy is keen in English and specialized on medieval English too (worked for example i.a. on Chaucer).
In the meantime I have for me personally the question, how important mastering English will be in the game. I understand quite good written English, but as it isn't my mothertongue, I don't everytime see between the line connotations. For example: I played the secret of Monkey Island in English. I got quite well with duellants speeches, but used a bit longer to check the shopkeepers complaint about hiking all over the place. And to my complete shame, I didn't check on my own behalf the hidden hint about the flowers with a sleepy smell. In German, which is my mothertongue, I for sure would have seen that hint on first sight. So, if there are many riddles which demand a real mastering of the English dialogues and hidden infos therein, I d' personally should perhaps better wait with buying the game?
I hope, someone might help me with that question about the difficulty of the English text in the game - especially considering riddles and hidden hints and how difficult they might be for someone, who's not English mothertongue.

Hmm I saw just the first town and I think while the english is not as complicated as it is in english novels (e.g. Harry Potter) the sheer amount of text in the game might be a bit daunting to read. From your text I'd say your english is good enough but it might test your endurance.

If you would be interested in helping with the German localization, just contact us through the form mentioned in the opening post and we can discuss this over e-mail. Ralf Korrek is already inspecting the localization kit to see if he would start working on the German translation. I think that while it is possible to translate Inquisitor single-handed, it's much better (and faster) to work in a team.

It's exactly as Alesak says - the English in Inquisitor isn't complicated (mainly because it was translated by Czech natives, not English ones), but there is a lot of text that can prove too much from time to time (when you're tired after a long day at school/work, for example). There are even some riddles in the game, but they are not difficult.

I would rather not do that. It will be about copying a few files into the Game folder, but even that could prove too much for some players and it could cause some unnecessary complications. Let's better hope we will sort it out quickly and make the Czech language available here through an official way as soon as possible.

I bought the game yesterday, looks great as far I played. I'm quite fluent reading English but as far I seen the game got a lot of speechs and conversations, doing it quite hard to enjoy. So maybe I will wait until the Spanish translation get ready. Any idea when this will be posible?
