how to become inqusitor prosecutor

after i return the monstrance, Judge Vallarian call me to find out the thief who stole the monstrance, but before i complete the quest, judge vallarian already been executed by me, so izzit i miss something or how am i suppost to do to become inqusitor prosecutor?? btw, my job is priest~

and other question too, baron robert wife linda is executed by me, even though i already speak with baron robert and tell him his wife is executed but the quest still remaining on active quest there, so anyway can i cancel or deleted the quest??

Father Jeremiah should also be able to promote you to the rank of inquisitorial prosecutor. You can find him in front of the Hillbrandt's church.

About Linda: Which quest do you mean? The one that starts with "Baron Robert van Gallagan is heartbroken..."? This quest should be cancelled as soon as you get a consent to arrest Linda or you actually arrest her and talk to the baron about it. But there might be a bug in case you talk to him only after she dies. If that is the case, I would need your latest save so that I could inspect the issue and cancel that quest for you so that it doesn't occupy space in your active quests anymore. If you want me to do that, just send me your latest save (from the "Documents\Inquisitor_SaveGames" folder) to kovar[@]cinemax.cz - but due to the Holidays it will take some time and it might be better to leave it to January.

Maybe a dumb question, no offense meant: have you tried to remove the square brackets from the email address?

That email address is correct (without those brackets, of course) and it should be working. Could you give it another try, please? As far as GOG version goes, if you have downloaded the latest version, 1.10.17, it is the same version as here on Steam. You can see the version number in the bottom right corner of the game's main menu.
