Hello everyone.

In an attempt to expedite the process of resolving technical support questions for Rogue Legacy, we've decided to create a guide that we will be updating with the most common problems people are experiencing and the solutions.

We are doing this to reduce usage of the technical support forums as a lot of the same questions are popping up, and it's difficult to find solutions to already solved problems.

PLEASE go through this first to see if your problem is listed. If it is not, or the solution provided does not work, send an email detailing the issue you're experiencing to [e-mail].

There are two types of crashes that occur in Rogue Legacy. Ones that crash before the game successfully launches, which results in no crash logs being generated, and others where a crash log is generated. Instructions on where to find your crash logs can be found below.

Where are my crash logs?

If you don't have crash logs or the issue is not crash related:

• Game won't start
  
• Game runs very slowly
  
• No audio can be heard
  
• Game will not close properly on Mac

If you have crash logs:

Most of the information from a crash log can be found in the very first sentence. An example of how to read a crash log is provided here:

If your crash log is similar to any of the errors listed below, please click the link to find the solution to that problem.

• System.ArgumentException: Value does not fall within the expected range. at Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Graphics.GraphicsDevice.Present(tagRECT* pSource, tagRECT* pDest, HWND__* hOverride)
  
  
• System.ArgumentException: The character 'Л' (0x041b) is not available in this SpriteFont
  
  
• System.InvalidOperationException: An invalid operation occurred when trying to query the keyboard state. The result code was 1400.
  
  
• System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Xna.Framework.dll' or one of its dependencies.
