Bug with the cards artwork (Linux)
Hi. I have (another ^^) bug!
The card artworks are not displayed.
Here are some screenshot that illustrate the problem ('cause sometime one picture is worth a thousand words ;) :

I second this, just went searching for this problem myself. Using Linux kernel vesrion 4.12.8 64-bit on Intel Sandybridge. Card artworks display those same patterns and are transparent when viewed up-close, exactly like OP's screenshot. It really does hurt deck building for me atm.

Appreciate your efforts, just wanna bump this thread for awareness.

What linuxes are you guys using?
I'm not getting this problem on Mint 18. Not sure if that is relevant, but the more info the better.
I am using ArchLinux, with Gnome and Xorg (as opposed to Wayland), if that matters. Also using primus (to use the nvidia GPU instead of the integrated intel chipset) but not sure I activated it for CCN2.
Ok I checked I had primus activated but disactivating it changed nothing.
I pasted the content of Player.log here in case it could be useful too:

I also have this problem on my Linux machine (Fedora 25). The card artworks function fine in battle, but not in the deck editor.

Since we can't replicate it we don't know for sure, but it might be an issue with the shader used to display the card picture. We've added a fallback which will ruin one of the effects we are using, but hopefully at least show the normal pictures correctly.

This will be included in the upcoming patch which should be out within a few days.

Let me know if any more info will help. I'd be happy to post logs as well. Thanks for the help, guys.

I wonder if we all have Intel display under the hood and if it somehow affects Brigitte's experience, despite using Nvidia on top of that hardware.

After checking it seems to be directly linked to something in ArchLinux (and Fedora) as I don't get the problem (and I don't get the "Clicking don't work in full screen" on Ubuntu but I still have it in ArchLinux

Ubuntu does include a ton of packages (as well as Mint, being based on *buntu). It's possible we're missing something that fully-featured out-of-the-box distros have. Fedora is a bit specialized, so it's possible it lacks whatever it is we need as well.

I did find thread after a cursory Google search: https://steamcommunity.com/app/266010/discussions/0/2592234299540413789/

It's about all I can find for now.

As a fellow Linux user, it pains me to say but we don't have manpower or resources (or frankly, knowledge!) to fix something that only happens on a few distros :(

Like Steam itself, we technically only support SteamOS and Ubuntu...
That said, if it's some easy fix and we know what's wrong of course we'll still give it a try. But we can't justify going on a whole big quest to find the bug. So don't expect too much from us :S

Maybe the difference could be in the graphics driver?
It's pretty strange it only happens in the deck editor, because the cards are like "the same" as in a match I believe, not rendered differently. Again though, just an artist so what do I know.

(The clicking in full screen is a known bug that Unity is looking into, though. We didn't notice it until right at release, because I always play games windowed anyway...)
No problem Regnslöja. We can try to find what cause the bug to happen on ArchLinux and Fedora but not on Ubuntu by ourselves, and if we manage to find it we'll let you know!

Godspeed:shanksaw:!

That's the beauty of open source, the community is always here to help!

I've tried numerous things like downgrading my Mesa version to something Ubuntu might use, or trying other OpenGL versions (bad idea!), to no avail. For now, running the Windows version of CCN2 on top of Wine works just fine; I just need to find a way to port over my save file.

I lament that there currently isn't much I can see from my end. Running the game from terminal opens the launcher, but upon launching the game, the terminal spits out:
Player data archive not found at `/home/settyness/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/CCN2/CCN2_Data/data.unity3d`, using local filesystem".
The game exits and then the launcher runs once more, in GUI mode. This unfortunately cuts me off from any terminal output as well as running any environment variables on-the-fly. Possibly, this is intentional, but I honestly wouldn't see why.

Thanks for the responses, and if there's any way I can help, let me know. All I can say is some meaningful terminal output or debug console would be appreciated. (Player.log unfortunately doesn't provide that much useful information for a user).
Ok, I'm not sure why but apparently the bug is fixed for me now. But only when using the Nvidia card. Still have the bug with the Intel chipset. It's really confusing.
Also fullscreen still doesn't work lol.
