Taming????

I don't understand how you tame? I have tried watermelon, pumpkin, carrots, cabbage and had them in inventory as well as hot-bar. I don't understand how to tame.

I haven't tried taming in this game but I've played games in the past where you had to drop the food on the ground and back off while the beastie ate the food. Not a common method in games, I suppose, but I'm also playing Ylands atm and this is the taming mechanism in that game. Might be worth a try.

Hello! Some animals won't want to come with you if you give them food because they're full or just don't want to. Try to feed others or later

Make sure the water melon etc. is in your inventory, not in your hotbar (!). Then approach the pig/chicken and press 'E' - it will be instantly tamed and follow you around. Repeat pressing 'E' so it doesn't follow you around anymore, that will cost you another food item out of your inventory.
If it fails: Sometimes they are not yet hungry, as the developer also explains here, so try it later again or search for a different animal. Hope I could help. Good luck and happy playing!

Try building a chicken coop and chicken feeder first, then take some feed and feed chickens, I bought back three to the coop and then clicked on the chicken feed to feed them, this stopped them from following me and they now wander around the coop. I tried this also with the Pigs building feeder, mud and Pig Hut but the pigs ate the melon I had in my inventory when I clicked 'E' ON 6 pigs to feed them but they did not follow, maybe they are full??? will try again. I have successfully managed to get 1 pig to follow me to the pig hut but this was in a previous game that I lost after going into the caves.
