TS 2015 stopped working
Just now. Did anything happen? Like a patch? I was playing just fine this morning. Then there was an update queued. Now whenever I start Train Simulator I get RailWorks.exe stopped working. And I also get a RailWorks Window saying "Saved dumpfile to 'path_to_game\name.dmp'

I tried reinstalling, rebooting and whatnot. I have a plain vanilla installation without any mods or workshop items.

The update I received was approx 33 mb in size

UPDATE: The patch has been pulled. Please assist Dovetail finding the bugs by answering the questions in this thread if you were affected yesterday.
Please also do so if you were not affected by my problem, but could start the game and rather experienced the "lights out" or "BlackScreen" problem

4. What antivirus are you using and did this give you a warning message?
5. When you started Train Simulator after the patch installed did you still have Steam running?
6. What settings were you using in the game? Please either list them or post a screenshot of your settings if that is easier for you.
7. Is there any other information you feel would be useful for us to know?

I am having this problem too; i play only an Locomotive, all others are crashing in all mode game;

I already mailed the dump file to the dovetail dudes at support@railsimulator.com. Lets see what happens

Same here, did the update and the game wouldn't start. An alert box comes up with a dump error msg and a "Railworks.exe has stopped working" error. So much #fail.

having the some problem, its to do with the update, i've not reinstalled the game but done a system restore and it took the update away but as soon as i started steam again the update started download again. is there anyway of stopping the downloads????

yes, right click on the game in library, go to properties at the bottom, then updates, then change the 'always keep this game up to date' option. but with system restore that might reset that setting also.

u could go offline and change it after system restore i spose

Yes. Right click the game in the steam client. There Properties and from there updates. There you can change the update behaviour.

No problems here... is this THE Patch? 32 MB seems a bit little. Upset to hear that it´s causing trouble.

Hey Guys, ive got the same Problem, but it's my first installation!
Ive bought TS15 this morning installed it and then the .exe stopped working with a message that an dump file was created

Nice one DTG! Have just received an update patch literally 20 minutes ago. As soon as it had installed my TS2015 no longer works any more (at all!). Press play, and I'm just left with an entire black blank loading screen that doesn't progress. I waited 10 minutes for something to happen the first time of trying. And a dumpfile had been generated V48.6b.dmp; of which now have half a dozen as exactly the same thing happens everytime I try to start the game. Which now seems to be completely broken; can't even start it!! Not the best start to the 'fixing' process. Please report back to us a.s.a.p on what is happening?? :(

I just did the update and started the game and had no problems at all. I have no idea what is going on with everybody else but I hope you get it fixed soon. I have not changed or added anything since Sept. 18, 2014 when TS2015 came in. ROCK ON!

Anybody getting the C:/TempDump/TS2015-v48.6b.dmp? I try loading the game and then it looks like its loading but the screen turns black and stops and I get that popping up. I even reinstalled it too.

One dumpfile "TS2015 - V48.6b.dmp" emailed to customer support. Boy I hope they know what's going on, and get those with a non-playable game up and running again soon.
