(For DTG) Is it just me, or has DTG slowed down their production rate?
If you remember pre-TS2016, DTG was nearly spitting out loads of DLC (which weren't too bad, but of course flawed). Now, after TS2016, I don't see much more content coming out. The NJT was definitely a huge project, but now that has passed and they are back to DLC development, what else are they doing that's making their production rate so much slow?

Just curiosity, nothing really that important.

They are "working on the fixes".:steamsalty:
I know that you were serious, but I just had to.

DTG are still "pumping" stuff out at a fairly good rate. Don't know where you got the idea that they weren't.
My head.
I've lost count of how much DLC there has been since the release of TS2016, There have been loads :steamfacepalm:

Weird, I've gotten very few newsletters for new stuff, and their page doesn't seem so.
Yea, I don't think there has been as much. I hope that means they are working on fixes. Fixes that are better than the Big Boy. That took a large community effort to make it worthwhile.
Off the top of my head I can think of the North London Line, BR Blue pack and the Coronation class LMS Pacifics. I'm sure I must have missed something but I don't think that's unreasonable for two months.
Hi guys,

We've actually started focusing more on the release and development of third party products to allow us more time to produce high quality in house content at less regular intervals and re-assess older products in the hopes of fixing outstanding issues and bugs.

There is a major push in the office at the moment to address as many issues in older content and ensure minimal bugs in new releases as possible going forward and hopefully, that will become apparent over the coming months.

I want to believe... I really do.
DTG have over the last couple of months been pumping out DLC at one of the fastest rates I can remember: I for one genuinely can't keep up they've been coming so fast! Since the release of TS2016 in late September, there have been 11 significant DLC add-ons that have been produced (excluding all the extra wagon DLCs in the Market Place of which there have been 8 or so further releases):

Key main-stream game DLC add-ons releases include:

LNER Peppercorn loco (1.10.2015)
North Jersey Coast Line route (8.10.2015)
NJT F40 PH-2CAT loco (8.10.2015)
NJT Alp-46 loco (15.10.2015)
DR BR 86 loco (20.10.2015)
North London Line Route (23.10.2015)
DB Schenker Class 59/2 loco (23.10.2015)
BR Blue Loco Pack (29.10.2015)
BR Class 24 loco (05.11.2015)
DB BR24 Romantic Railroads loco (12.11.2015)
LMS Coronation Class loco (19.11.2015)

That's an average of 5+ each month. I would have thought more than enough to keep the OP entertained! As such I'm most surprised by DTG_James comment, because that's a lot of content DTG have released in recent weeks. Though I'm very pleased to hear, additionally there is a supposed focus right now on bug fixing; that's great news if that is the case. Because it is certainly most needed. Cheers.

11, that is over 3 months, that is significantly less then the 1 or 2 a week they did before that. Yees I agree with OP that "production" has gone down

nt that I think it is a bad thing, gives them time to work on fixes

2 months! mid September to mid November!!

How many more DLC do people want to see for the game. Fair play to DTG that's a terrific content output during this period, even if not matching the all time max. However, for the first time ever I haven't bought a single one (when I normally buy a large proportion of new ones). Because my core game is effectively broken, and I won't buy a single more DLC until I have a reliable playable game again. I know I'm not alone in feeling this way. So I really do hope there's a stability patch on the horizon, as DTG support indicated directly to another one of our long-standing fellow forum members. Fingers very much tightly crossed.

You are correct, I got wrong because the TS rewards didn't start at the same time as TS2016 giving in my mind that extra month. I stand corrected. In that case fairly normal rate of producing I would say.. As far as a stability patcj, if it comes I think we need to think about the 2015 edition where it didn't get solved for over 6 months (I am a bit afraid to say longer now lol)

Funny how each year other people seem affected by problems btw. Because last year I saw people telling to hae big problems that seem not to have a problem this year, while people that said not to have prolems last year now suddenly do have problems. Lately for me more and more start to crash like the consist editor and such at regular intervals, additional problem for me is that I have a fairly ;ow end system in regards to this game so I can't even blame DTG for all of those :steamsad:
