Performance issues after scorched earth release
I used to get 70-100 fps on medium settings before the scorched earth release and now im getting max 40 fps on medium settings, usually staying around 28-30, i have tried lowering the settings/resolution,verifying the game files, reinstalling the game, reinstalling my gpu drivers and even tried all those commands that remove clouds/fog to increase fps but it still stays the same.
Im still playing on The island so i don't understand why this is happening
My specs are: R9 7900, Rx 7800xt, 64gb ram. All other games i play havent had any difference in performance
Any idea if there is any way to fix this, it is very frustrating :(

I got rid of my stuttering by turning off frame generation under the Radeon settings app.
Think I also shut off anti lag for good measure

Maybe try as a workaround the RSR feature:

1. In ASA settings set screen to Borderless-Fullscreen.
2. In Radeon-Software delete the game profile, if the driver has already add one, delete it -its bugged. Set a new one by hand.
3. Set in this profile RSR also to Borderless-Fullscreen.
4. Set the Resolution-Override as your taste (i have a 4k monitor, and set it to 1920x1080 but with your card you can easy go with 2560x1440 or more).
5. Use the console-command r.ScreenPercentage x with a value for x between 67-90 for finetuning the framerate.

It looks 'Okay' for me, If i try to set 1080p native in fullscreen i can't get over 40 fps but Borderless with RSR helps me to hold 60 fps most of the time.
Not perfect but it works for me

What gpu are u using? I have a 1080p monitor and play on borderless always. I deleted the profile and set a new one manually, i used RSR to run the game at 720p, i got 45 fps and the game looked horrible.

I've a 6900xt, and 5800x cpu, 32gb 3800mhz and play on a nvme drive.
Your system should be a good notch over mine, cause the settings are similar.
1080p RSR with r.ScreenPercentage 67 is around 720p. There must be a different issue.

Did you using any Mods or programms running in the background? If yes, you should unsubscribe the mods temporarily for a try and do a clean boot. Temps?
Else i've no idea at the moment, sry.

Yea it seems smth else is wrong cause im playing vanilla and i installed no mods after the reinstall, i also play with nothing else open. Hopefully it fixes itself with the next patch/driver update :\

Yes this game have to get an 'award for the most unoptimized mess you can get for money on steam'.

Someone wrote it's because the full featureset of UE5 is used and it's also UE5 whats need more developer care beside the game, but the results are so different across all the systems here.

I have the same exact issue, im on an AMD Radeon 6850M XT and R9 6900HX, used to get 70-100fps with everything on medium, and i didnt need to use any codes like turning off clouds, now, after the scorched update, im not exceeding 35fps on the SAME settings on both the island and scorched, anyone found anyone found a fix for the issue yet?
