Buying Gun Monkeys (again) as a gift

Hello :D
So i bought the 2 copy bundle of Gun Monkeys a while ago. I still have the key left when i bought my copy.
A couple minutes ago i bought Gun Monkeys again for 4,50€ but as a gift which want to keep in my Steam inventory for later use.
After my purchase i opened my list of gifts and i see 2 Gun Monkey gifts. The one spare copy i still had left and the Gun Monkey copy i bought right now. There is no difference in the description of the gift.
If i gift the newly purchased copy to one of my friends, does he get the double bundle with one spare key or does he only get one copy?


I dont want to test it and gift the new item to somebody in case of a possible refund or something like this.

You know, you can just generate 3 more keys using gun monkeys

It is not that i dont know about the idle free keys, but it is definitely worth the money.
But i just want what i payed for, and somehow this not clear enough for me if i got that or not :)

This is something you'l have to talk to Steam about, I'm afraid. I simply don't know the answer :(

Thank you very much for this answer and the offer. I will probably take this offer, but first i am going to contact Steam.

The answer from the Steam support was the following:
The game is going to get refunded. The 1 copy i bought was deleted from my gift inventory, the money will arrive at my bank account within some days. Normally they dont refund but since this is a "special case" they make an exception.
It is seems to be normal that you cant buy game packs as you offer it if you already posess the game.
If you already own a copy of the game and buy such a game pack (2-pack, 3-pack, etc) as a gift, you will only get 1 copy of that game although you payed the price for the whole pack.

Hope this clears things up :)

As it is i have to think about what will be best. Either give my friends money so that they can buy the game themselves (yay self bought gift ...). Or i buy another copy and will come back to your offer for the free key when i can provide proof of my purchase.
