Freezing during gameplay

The game runs smooth as silk 99% of the time, but occasionally will freeze for up to 5 seconds. I can play entire levels with no problem, and then it'll freeze once every ten seconds on others. It seems to be pretty random. The music carries on while the video freezes.

I'm running it at 1920 x 1080 with all the graphical options turned on, on a Radeon 7850. Anyone got any ideas what's causing it?

I haven't heard of this. If you figure out any more details about when/why this might happen, I'd be very interested in fixing it.
