Your resolution is not available in the menu ? Here's how to fix that!

I'm just a bit curious, as this is the resolution of my 22 inch monitor, why is this not supported by the game but pretty much everything else is ?

EDIT :

If your resolution is not available to be selected from in-game, Go to : Steam\steamapps\common\Spelunky\Data and edit config.txt (edit the resolution in there)

If this file is not available for you, it means that you didn't start the game yet or it didn't manage to create it. You can create it yourself, here's the contents of that file :

Windowed:
0
Screen_Width:
1680
Screen_Height:
1050
Language:
0

Replace the resolution with the one you want and you should be good to go! Have fun :)

Yeah it's the same for me.. I don't know why this isn't supported when it's supported in every other single game I've played to come out recently.

I also thought it strange that the game doesn't support 1920x1200 although it does support a different 16:10 resolution. Am I missing something?

I found a temporary fix..

Go to : Steam\steamapps\common\Spelunky\Data and edit config.txt (edit the resolution in there). Not sure if this respects the aspect ratio though..

I'm having the same problem, in fact: my monitor goes into sleep mode when I launch the game. Launch options for windowed mode and manually defining the display resolution doesn't work for me either. Incidentally, my native res is 1360 x 768

Err what ? There isn't a big diferrence between 1920 x 1080 and 1680 x 1050

I hope that the devs will fix the solution so that such fiddling isn't necessary

Sadly, the fix didn't work for me. My resolution is currently 1920 x 1080 and I've tried everything from the fix mentioned above to disabling the 2nd monitor. Game still refuses to display on startup.
