Save editor
Hi all!
Because there is a problem with dead-host-save, as a temporary solution, i present you a save editor (ok, not exactly, but a save editor helper). In read me file you can find out how to use it. If there is anything wrong just tell me, i will try to help. And remember that i've made it in an hour so i don't take responsibility for it working correctly :D .

If you mess up the tags in the xml, the app will crash straight into the sun.

Hey there. I am having trouble with your savegame editor. When I want to write out my new savegame, it keeps telling me 0x02 was an invalid symbol at row 1, position 1 (even with an unaltered fix.txt). :-/

That's a real shame, because me and a friend started playing on easy, but that's become waaaay too easy, so we would like to raise the difficulty through the editor.

Could somebody maybe try to generate the savegame for me? Here is a link to my dropbox where you can find the altered fix.txt and my original savegame. I removed double lives modification, reduced the number of lives from 32 to 10 and raised the difficulty to 1.

Ok, with the help of Greali I got it working. I was assuming that the editor automatically grabs the fix.txt, since its name is not changeable from within the editor anyway. Because of that, I browsed to my savegame when I wanted to create the new save, rather than the fix.txt.

Now I was successfull. The written savegame called "IhopItWorks.hws" is 0 KB big at first. You have to move it to see its true size. That's it!

Thanks for the save editor! Which parameters should I edit to make it look like I found all secret planks? I've just finished the game and I really don't want to redo everything to see the full ending just for a couple of planks...

Yes, I am. I used to create textures and do some coding on the level editor Dark Radiant. :-)

Yeah i know... anyway.. Here's my version. The parsing methods are directly from the main programmer. I have made a console app:
C:\Users\joedf>hws2xml.exe hws2xml [infile] [outfile] if [infile] has .hws it will converted to .xml if [infile] has .xml it will converted to .hws
The source is available on github here: https://github.com/joedf/HWSEdit/tree/master/hws2xml

Post an issue or a pull request, that would be great.
