Menagerie full - Beast insights

I'm kinda new to Beastcrafting and just started to manage my beasts.

Can anyone provide some insights which beast is deleted when a new one is captured and menagerie is full? Is it possible to lose a 2div beast to make room for a 2c one?

Also, when you make a cheap recipe (say 8 chroma to make room in menagerie), will the X+ div beasts be saved until there is no other option or will they also get randomly wasted on that cheap recipe?

Regularly use https://poe.re/#/beast to generate a regex to your liking that highlights valuable beasts, pokeball them.

You do get warning messages a couple of monsters before your menagerie gets full, so shouldn't be running into this problem anyways.

The 3.21.0 patch

Added the ability to release captured Beasts through the Bestiary panel

so you could just use the website linked above, set a maximum price of say 2c to have a low-value regex and release them without needing to fight them for scraps.
