Important Notice: if you can’t access Act 2

Hello adventurers,

It seems that some of you have difficulties with the end of Act 1 and aren’t able to access Act 2.

Please find underneath a recap of the different situations and solutions.

1. First of all, if you played Early Access be sure that you followed the different steps explained in this article https://mightandmagicx-legacy.ubi.com/opendev/blog/post/view/technical-information

2. Are you sure your MMX key is activated?
If you are able to play the game but have issues to finish Act 1, you might not have activated your Uplay key.

Indeed, check if you are not disconnected from Uplay, a onetime activation is required and to do so, you need to be online in Uplay and launch the game (next time you can play offline if you want of course)
Just in case, you can re-enter your Uplay key on the Extras menu.

Hi, I can't access Act 2, the option from Lev to fly to Elemental Forge is greyed out. Also, the only option in the game menu for DLC is thunderbird helmet, no option for me to enter my CD key. If I try and enter my CD into UPlay it says, "This CD Key or Activation Code is already in use with another UPlay Account. Also, the achievement in UPlay is not updating for completing Act 1. I can still launch the game from UPlay, it initiates Steam and loads from there. Thanks.

I also get this message when trying to enter my key. The game appears to not even try to connect, it just immediately fires back with a server connection problem as soon as i hit redeem code. I use Windows 7 firewall. Both the game and Uplay have access rights.

I can't go to act 2. I bought this on early access (can't remember if from Steam or Uplay) and never got access to the alpha forum either (Related?). I tried uninstalling via Uplay which triggered steam's removal system. Then reinstalled via Steam. No difference.

OK to add to my previous post. I just noticed that Steam is installing MMX at a size of around 4gig when the day one PATCH is 8gig.

If i uninstall, whether by Uplay OR Steam, Uplay still thinks the game is installed. If i click play in Uplay, it opens Steam which then begins to download the 4gig MMX.

I'm at a loss.

Hello, i'm blocked at castle Portmeryon. I go to the third floor and in front on the last door opened i see the boos so I think, "i should go buy some potions", so i leave the castle and come back with my potions, but the door is now locked and i cannot open it anymore...

So i'm locked here :(

Same if i try and play from steam it asks for key for uplay have already put in and can even find this on my uplay account but will not let me past this screen. So cant play from steam.
If i play from the uplay account it then starts up game through steam and plays but seem to be only act one downloaded. I cant access act 2 from lev.
Preety much the same as everyone else. It does say on the main menu it is v 131-14561 is this the trail version? I bought the game after release.
Dont know if any of that helps hope it is fixed asp thanks :)

Just to clarify if you play the game and try to enter in code in the extras menu it says key already activated. Also have unitstalled and reinstalled through steam.

I purchased through Uplay/Ubisoft and the download was 8.6+gigs when updating (in the Uplay client) from Early Access to Realease Version. 4 gigs sounds more like the size of the EA MMX install.

well...I honestly dont know if I am having trouble, but the aforementioned griffon rider that would take me to the forge thingie...is nowhere to be seen, and not an option I can see anywhere. There are only the 2 wights, the dragon and the cyclop left and no-where for me to go.

The game IS unlocked - at least my key is used no matter where I try to enter it. I was not part of Early access but now...out of options which really suck.

i got it too work !! You need to exit the castle completely then as you go back in again you get to talk to everyone in the throne room stright away. If you talk to lev in here then you can access the next part. Hooray lol

Leaving end reentering didn't work for me. I'm getting kind of frustrated not being able to play a game that I not only paid for but did so in advance (EA). Fix your ♥♥♥♥.

Lev is nowhere for me to be seen, even after I exit and reenter the castle. The quest still states to meet Lev on the rooftop? I try to enter the game code on the bonus section of the game, but I get a message that I cannot connect to the ubi servers.

If you still have the quest telling you to go see Lev in the roof:
After meeting with the governor, in a different corridor of the castle there was an unclickable door, that door is now open and leads to a room where Lev and his griffon are located. If you have fully explored this floor after the meeting, and still cant find it, then it could be a bug.

Exiting and reentering the castle to meet Lev only works after talking to him the first time.

There are one dude who wrote like 200 messages here trying to prove to everybody that UPlay won't cause any problems for players. And now people can't access Act2 because of it.
What an epic fail.
