Substance Designer 4

Substance Designer 4

Substance not closing properly
When I close the program out it continues to try and run in the background. It is rather irritating because then steam constanatly says it is running and I can't start the program proper again until I shut it down through the task manager. I am running Windows 7.

Could you tell me which build version and engine version you see in the "Help > About Substance Designer" dialog ?
I second this. I have to force close this application from windows task manager.

I've just got an update of SD. Here[i39.photobucket.com] is my version information. The problem is still there.

We are looking into the issue, thanks for the report.
Just to add, on my Win8 Pro x64 I also get this - but not all of the time and sometimes I notice that it doesn;t terminate immediately but take a few seconds (so if you shut SD down accidentally and then restart it it can appear to be still running, try giving it 10 seconds and see if it then starts ok). BUT having said that on a few occasions I have had to kill the process in the task manager as others have stated.
I think I found one of the issues preventing Substance Designer 4 from shutting down~
It appears that Substance Designer links to your browser (the Flash Player Plugin to be precise) and refuses to see itself as "ended" until the flash player plugin has been terminated.

This may be because I clicked the tutorial link inside the application, causing Firefox to be opened on behalf of Substance Designer, creating this Link between them.

I hope this is any help in fixing the issue. :)
