Is battleblock not getting an update like castle crashers mentioned in their update? I’m not concerned about when it comes, just wondering if it is as I may need to make a partition for windows

At this time there will not be a 64-bit update available for BBT.

It wouldn't be the master race if all the plebs were in it.

I am very disappointed, but I fully understand. 99% of my Humble Indie Bundle games are not being updated to 64 bit, so I am simply NOT UPDATING to CATALINA :-|

Super disappointing! :steamsalty:
Apple has many extortion tactics. If you ever decide to update to 64 bit we will be thankful. Thanks for a really nice game and i will be playing on my windows desktop and not my MBA :2016weiner:

I... do not know why it works, but I'm glad it does. We're probably going to investigate, but not try and stop it. Castle Crashers, luckily, will be getting an update that should make it run on Catalina. We don't have a release date for it yet, but it's in production now.

linux is gaining a lot of ground. I'd imagine in the near future we'll start seeing more application support for linux than Mac, its already pretty prevalent in gaming considering Ubuntu tried to just suggesting ditching 32 bit library support and the entire community threw a fit about how it would destroy compatibility with older programs. They've since postponed their plans all the while other linux maintainers and distribution devs have come forward to say they'll continue to uphold 32bit libraries even if bigger devs abandon it.

on top of that, we keep getting updates to software that let us run direct x 9, 10, 11, and now 12 games through vulkan expanding game support tremendously. in the last 2 years I went from have like maybe 30 native linux games playable in my library to having nearly my entire library of (close to) 400 games playable thanks to Steam Play/Proton on my linux box.

the support for Linux has only been getting better and better while I sit back watch windows users complain about MS updates and operating system overhead issues and mac users complain that half their library is losing support because apple is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid.

It may still be a ways off, but PC gaming will eventually have to go to linux, its probably why valve is putting so much effort into making it possible. so many peoples these days only have smart phones and tablets, what happens when MS backs out of the consumer OS market because the only people (in mass) buying desktop/workstations any more are businesses? You think MS is just going to release their windows OS source code once they stop supporting house hold desktops? no. Like I said, its probably still a ways off but we're already starting to see the desktop OS peak, when was the last time you saw a major actual improvement from a desktop OS from microsoft or windows? dark theme? bah.
