DE: HR is one of my absolute favorite single player games and I would call it a masterpiece. But...

This DC is a bad port, plagued with constant framerate and stuttering issues. From what I've read and understood is that the original version got patched properly whereas DC is some kind of sloppy port of the Wii U version. Having tested both versions the original plays beautifully compared to DC.

Only real upside of DC are the boss fights that can be done with a pure stealth build and maybe the integration of Missing Link to the game, which you may or may not like. I just don't think those are worthy of a sacrifice though with the cost of poor performance, so the original for me it was. Ideally, we would have a mix between both versions but given the age of the game, it's simply never going to happen sadly.

So, my recommendation is to find a key for the original version (they can still be found for very cheap) and play that version instead.

The performance on the ps3 is terrible

Way more fun if you're a fan of stealth. There were a lot of things about this game that I did not love, but there were enough interesting things going on for me to stick it out to the end
