Best way to get rid of items?

Sorry im a bit of a newbie, im really loving this game, i just have a quick question. What should i do with equipable items that i no long want/need? Ive been dismantling them, is that the right thing to do?

You're probably better off just selling off the equipment for cash to vendors or just stockpile them and feed it to a pet (once you get one).

Sell them to the NPC's if you want ED. Dismantle works if you want to craft (In a gambling fashion) armor.

It is a good idea to sell weapons as mentioned above, but once you get to lvl 50-60 equipment, it is better to dismantle because the materials are useful in crafting some of the higher lvl weapons.
