Multiple Block not working with Stab?
Just leveled my Assassin and grabbed the Multiblock skill. I am not sure how to use them in conjunction. Is this bugged?

I believe it is? Stab is bugged with how it should interact with some other skills so it wouldn't surprise me.

Yeah I am having this issue as well.
Also noticed how sometimes your dark elf assassin goes down on a both down roll even when having the block skill? (Not talking about wrestle here)

From what i understand Stab isnt a normal Block, so wont work with Multiple Block

Stab is used during any situation where you should be able to throw a normal block, it should work with multi block, its one of the only ways to get multi stabs off on the LoS

well in my case it completely freezes the game when I try to stab on my second attack (and not the first), which I highly doubt is intentional xD.

Source: LRB 5.0 FAQs

"Can you use Stab with Multiple Block? When do I declare the 2nd opponent for a Multiple Block?"

"Yes, you may use Stab to replace either one or both of the blocks with the Multiple
Block skill. You may declare the 2nd opponent after the 1st block."

Stab is compeltely interchangable with Block in all situations.

Dude Stab ain't Block:
"Stab (Extraordinary)
A player with this skill is armed with something very good at stabbing, slashing or hacking up an opponent, like sharp fangs or a trusty dagger. This player may attack an opponent with their stabbing attack instead of throwing a block at them. Make an unmodified Armour roll for the victim. If the score is less than or equal to the victim’s Armour value then the attack has no effect. If the score beats the victim’s Armour value then they have been wounded and an unmodified Injury roll must be made. If Stab is used as part of a Blitz Action, the player cannot continue moving after using it. Casualties caused by a stabbing attack do not count for Star Player points."

Whereas a Multiple block can only be applied to a block:
"Multiple Block (Strength)
At the start of a Block Action a player who is adjacent to at least two opponents may choose to throw blocks against two of them. Make each block in turn as normal except that each defender's strength is increased by 2. The player cannot follow up either block when using this skill, so Multiple Block can be used instead of Frenzy, but both skills cannot be used together. To have the option to throw the second block the player must still be on his feet after the first block."

From Blood Bowl Rulebook Competition Rules

Edit: Ok I can't seem to find the FAQ but I found some posts in the CE board saying that Muti-stab could be done by selecting multiple-block first than stab in CE.

All I know is that it used to work in Blood Bowl 1, when you threw your blocks it would ask you if you wanted to replace the block with the stab for each. With this new interface though, you have to select stab Or multiblock. Just double checked to see if Multiblock will ask me to swap in the knife but it didn't let me. I doubt this will be fixed very quickly so it's time to dump him in favor of a second runner I guess.

It works in the tabletop and Fumbll as well, Stab's pretty bugged right now. I'd recommend against using assassins

The Dark Elf star player Assassin (Horkath? something like that) has Stab + Multiple Block in the game. Absolutely no reason for him to have MB if it didn't work with Stab.

I got him once for a game... it's possible I was doing it wrong but I couldn't get it to work. If it does work it's really not very intuitive.

It should work according to the original rules. If it doesn't - it's a bug in BB2.

Been experimenting with harkon star player

I managed to get multiple block and stab to work, but it is definitely bugged.

In order to use it you:

1. Click assassin
2. Click multiple block
3. Click assassin
4. Click stab
5. Click target
6. After first stab is resolved repeat steps 3-5

The bug occurs when you succeed in causing an injury on the first stab.

A dialogue box appears asking for confirmation that you want to throw a 2nd block. If you click yes you are allowed to block, but you can't click on the assassin again to select a stab action.

So rather than having a chance at causing 2 injuries you can only ever cause 1.

It seems to me that this sequence of steps if following the rules. It is rather sad that you have to do all this manually (a part from selecting multiple block). I would expect the GUI to ask you if you want to use stab on this block, like any other block-related skill.

More sad is that Cyanide has been failing to implement the blood bowl rules in so many versions of the game they put on the market.

Yet FUMBBL has implemented this in a Java app for years. Check it out at www.fumbbl.com (it's free).
Sure the animations don't rock your world but it all works as described in the rules (without bugs).

I've tried this several times and it's working in Legendary Edition as of the current patch. You can Multiple Block Stab two enemies on a regular (non-blitz) attack

However, you cannot do step #2 of this process if you declare a Blitz and move first. In other words, I don't think you can Blitz Multiple Block Stab.

Why necro a 2 year old thread when there is another recent thread discussing exactly this?
