Name your Characters properly for it does matter!

Getting tired of seeing peoples names as "S***stain" Or "****dildo" Guys, whatever you name your characters is what other people will see. If you really want to be known as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everywhere then you need some help.
Chicken****er is also not acceptable.. seen three of those running around.

So will my character be known in ds2 by my steam name or the by the ingame name to others? @ still waiting for my physical copy of the game

Ingame name will be shown, Not your steam name.

OI, I like humor as much as the next guy, But I believe people aren't realizing that others are seeing their character names instead of Steam names. Seen more then a few STRBUILD's and DEXSUPREMECY's as well as Chucken****er's running around. <.<

also i thinks those OP mentioned really represents the rotten backstabbing casuls that flood these games quite well, you know the ones who simply look up the best weapons and armor from youtube instead of learning to play the game themselves!!!!!

Thing is, in DSII so far there isn't a 'best' armor or 'best' weapon. Many weapons and armor sets are very viable. I mean I've seen a few people trying to minmax but they end up failing hard cause they go around with a massive club but no armor to fast roll. Not realizing that their attack animations take forever and leaves em wide open to fast counters from lets say.. a broadsword or a Morningstar.

Actually it shows steam names, if you shift tab and look at recent players it'll list them. It randomly stars out names as well, I was playing with a guy called Unicornacopia and his name ingame was Uni*****opia. There's nothing offensive with the word corn it just does it randomly.

Yeah, I've seen some weirdly blocked out names that are near impossible to figure profanity into, I sort of wonder what's going on.

The game auto stars players name one star for each double death they have earned. When you see a player with a fully stared out name beware, they may not be as good as they seem.
