How apply for staff on fourms

Im curious how to apply for staff on forums or in game

You have to be an active member of the community for the most part.

As I understand it, and no doubt one of our mods can correct me if I’m wrong, it’s just a voluntary community position offered to those in good standing.

Ie most of them are people that have participated in the forums for years and generally not caused trouble

pretty much eliminates 99% of us, while I have been around for years I’m certain I cause too much trouble to be considered

I don't recall if/when there's been applications per-se, but just generally being knowledged and helpful when needed is always good.

There's also more than just us on the steam forums. There are community helpers over on the official WT forums, plus a team over on WT.Live, it's not just one bucket of snails, so to speak. Be active, poke around, even a lot of the hate/salt that comes up comes out of a place of liking and caring about the game, it's one thing most players have in common.

I would think you needed at least 100 jesters on your posts first . But not a position I want. I get more then enough hate as it is. (138 jesters) (I use the points to give awards to people who make good posts)

I think if you want to be a mod of a forum full of unbalanced teenagers, you need an extraordinary amount of patience. I wouldn’t want to do that, and I don’t think I could. The forum would probably end up empty.

I'll agree with that. The voluntary mods are pretty chill. Never had any issues with them. Even managed to encounter one of em in the game :P

But one thing I'll never forget was that one time when one of the community managers told me that heli spawn camping isn't an issue because I could have just shot him down

The community managers probably don't even play Realistic but Arcade, just like the devs.

Hey! I'll just add to what the mods have already said; we have several departments and leads for each. Sometimes they'll open recruitment where you can apply, this is posted on our forums. However we also look out for players who may be active in the community and we think might be a good fit.
