American and Germans fighting together in realistic

I was trying to play with a friend who is grinding the German tree with my T95 and We could not find a single match, are mixed battles still a thing?

yes, but you still cant select german and american and expect a battle.

It's extremely unlikely that you'll get a match playing as America/Britain teamed with Germany/Italy in RB, the only time I've ever seen it is when the mm shoves all nations into both teams. It's pretty much only America/Britain/(Russia/France)/[Japan] versus Germany/Italy/(Japan)/[Russia/France].

For some reason Germany + US is too OP so it's US+UK+RU+France vs Germany as that's fair somehow.

It was because of russian players complaining about the MBT/KPZ combo when those were the highest teir vehicles in those trees.

while entirely true that they were complaining about it you make it sound like gaijin bowed to player pressure where infact at the original release of teir 6 with the kpz/mbt 70 versus the t64a the russians really were being stomped that badly they had to change matchmaking to give them a chance, they just havnt got around to changing it back since...

You and I remember things very differently, especially because back then there was no tier 6 tanks. And then the T-64s were clubbing everything, with the pairing of the MBT and KPZ being the only "countermeasure" then.

the t64a and kpz/mbt70 were the first teir 6 tanks... introducing them and teir 6 was the focus of 1.71 'new ERA'... given the teir 6 mobility meta already establishing itself even then and lack of vehicles which fit the meta the t64a was having a bad time when on its own against mbt and kpz70s... a situation which has since been aleviated but the matchmaking restrictions from that breif period remain in place

Nah its only changed when its REALISTIC. High teir US and Germany do joint excercises but wwII no we never joined forces for war or training lol

Germany and USSR did have deal however, they sent people to check out german tank factories and what not. No real joint efforts minus that I know of but, at same time it would just be germany vs the rest minus japan otherwise lol

while they didnt fight side by side german tanks crews were actually trained in russia during the interwar period as well as the schools serving as a testing ground for german tank design
