Any more countries coming up?
So I was looking around on YouTube and found out that World of Tanks are releasing Polish tanks. Being Polish myself and loving Warthunder, I wondered if there will be a Polish faction later on, and maybe other factions?

Only other nations I can think of them adding would be Sweden and China.
Perhaps way later on, but I doubt much would be happening before hand other than perhaps Romania or Sweden.

Shame, because I'd like Poland myself but apparently top tier vehicles matter more.
Poland would be great but I'm not sure there's enough to fill a tree. Sure, Poland had tanks but only a handful of them. They had planes too but unfortunately the occupation kind of put an end to their aircraft development.

The best we can hope for is an international tree. Personally I hope they add in the Polish 7TP as a premium vehicle if nothing else. I might actually buy that one if they do.

EDIT: I'm wondering if 7TP could work as premium in a swedish tree? It does mount a swedish 37mm Bofors gun as its main armament.

That would actually be nice, but if they do some digging like Wargamming, they might find some prototypes or ideas that the Polish thought of.

The thing with WoT is that they add practically fictional tanks to the game, otherwise known as "paper tanks" (never got transitioned from the blueprint design phase)

How they can work is purely guesswork and has the innate potential to be abused.

I'd be more inclined for an international tech tree than adding individual nations
They did have a number of prototypes. The Polish 9TP was an upgraded 7TP with thicker armour, wider tracks and lighter engine to fix the biggest issues with the 7TP, the thin armour and not great off-road performance. A number of prototypes were finished and a first batch of service vehicles for field trials was in production. It's possible these vehicle may actually have been finished, but nobody knows what happened to them. Were they never finished? Were they captured by Germany? Destroyed? Lost in combat?

Nobody knows. The invasion happened just before the first 9TP's could enter service.

There was also the 10TP that was an entirely new tank of Polish design aswell.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9TP https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/10TP

All Polish prototype vehicles was used in the battle of Warsaw and were subsequently lost in the fighting.

All of this still makes for very few Polish armoured vehicles however.

They've created their own tanks too. The P44 Pantera in the WoT Italian tree doesn't exist on paper either. I haven't been able to find anything about it and I think it's completely fictional.

Most likely we'll see Sweden or China as individual trees. The International tech trees will have everything else.
Does a Tech Tree have to actually go all the way to the higher BR's or is it alright to just fill it up to a certain point and then stop? Because you're going to have some difficulty filling a Swedish tree without reusing vehicles at the top.

Going off memory here, but IIRC, Gaijin always wants to have a full tree in some way so the country can compete at low, mid, and top tier. Though Japan is really pushing that limit in terms of high tier as they only have 2 Tier V insted of the often required 6 to advance a tier so current rules may be a bit more relaxed.

A lot of speculation in this thread, and some of the user-proposed nations here would only apply to post-WW2 era (and, in some cases, late-to-post Cold-War era for really unique vehile variants). It'd be cool to see the OT-62 series appear, though! ;)

The only thing we know for sure is that additional Italian ground vehicles will continue to be added: https://warthunder.com/en/news/5074-news-italian-ground-vehicles-in-war-thunder-en/

There already is a Chinese tree, but they did only implement it on the Chinese server because it's largely just copypasta.
Italian tanks....
Italian, but Polish is a joke and WoT loves making tech trees that make no sense with fictional tanks so they can do it saddly. I am half and even I know the tech tree is gonna be really full of holes like insanely at least french post war made bad tanks good enough to be pitted agains WW2 tanks lol
