And I would prefer Metal Gear Solid V to be released on the PC over Metal Gear Solid 4.
MGS4 or 5 would be cool, otherwise MGR will remain the only MG game I have ever played.
Sold like crap because it was ported like crap. I still have my MGS2 Subsistance around and I actually played it a couple of months ago. The only way to have it running on Windows 7 is to HACK the executable (!) into thinking that you have a different graphics card. And you still can't max the shadows or else you'll get incorrect rendering. That's your Konami port right there and that's why it sold like crap. I was afraid to buy MG Rising because of Konami's history with horrible ports, but it seems Platinum Games was up for the task. Now, if they could fix the floating props and artifacts with MSAA and Xfired Radeons... Oh, and MGS4 is by far and wide the worst game of the series. Boring, waaaaaaaaay too long cutscenes and a pretty confusing and stupid plot.
You should play the other games. I'm really hoping the Legacy Collection gets released on PC some day. I would buy it even though I bought every game separate.
@Megaknight: MGS4 is not the worst in the series. Not even close. MGS2 is the worst IMO. I hate the setting. I think it got rated so high because it introduced a bunch of new cool things to the series and had way better graphics than MGS1 and everything. However, all of the MGS games are some of the highest rated games to ever exist, so all of them are technically fantastic.
The stealthy, slow movements from Metal Gear Solid 4 would be kind of hard to pull off with keyboard and mouse, since it was using PS3's analog sticks.
Plus, MGO is dead on MGS4. I loved the online in the game, too bad they shut down all servers. I don't think they would put them back online for PC.
HD ?? That's so 2013.. Bring on the 4K.
The new MGS 5 seems like it will surpass MGS 4 in terms of actual gameplay.
MGS 3 will always be my personal fav. Love the first aid system in that one and wish more action games had that.
