In this launcher we could have several options that are set before starting the game, like windowed modes (Windowed fullscreen, windowed, fullscreen), refresh rates, audio and maybe keyboard/joystick bindings could be awesome too.
After the update is downloaded and installed here, I still get same problems, there are no window opening or error messages. I bought on pre-order and can't run Strider yet.
As I can't reach the game options (StriderX64_r.exe opens in the task manager and few seconds later auto closes without showing errors), I can't try to change the window modes or refresh rates to see if I can run the game using one of those modes.
I use dual screen, one is a Samsung LED HDTV 40" as primary, and the other is a Samsung Monitor 24" as secondary, both of them are FullHD, and supports 1920x1080. I tried several setup possibilites, only 1 monitor, 1 tv, swap primary and secondary, but none have worked.
I'm using updated NVIDIA graphic drivers 335.23
I tried to see if there was something wrong on NVIDIA panel configuration, but all seems right, and all other games I have works without problems, both on windowed/windowed fullscreen/fullscreen modes)
I have updated the contents on the pastebin site, about the DXDiag report and .wer report files after the Strider update.

I'm not using antivirus softwares at the moment, and I'm using a clean install of windows, with only basic softwares and updated drivers installed.
I hope these informations help in some way to improve the game or fix some errors.
Thanks ;)
Post 1:
I commented this in the bug release thread before this was posted.
Dunno why but at fullscreen 1920x1080 the game enables frame skipping and it's insanely jittery. I tried running it windowed at the same resolution, 1920x1080, to check and the game runs much smoother, no skipped frames.
Don't know why fullscreen would put more strain on the machine than windowed. Maybe needs a second opinion? I'll be playing it Windowed for the time being.
Also, the resolution fix is a bit odd. When I change the resolution I have to cycle twice before it changes, as if there are duplicate resolutions in the settings menu. All are now labeled 1920x1080x59 and there are two of these for every resolution.
Anyway, unlike other multiplatform games that are just pumped and dumped, I'm rly glad the developers are actively fixing glitches and squashing bugs.

No keebinding menu yet, still needs to be modified via text file. I find it funny tho, that the game has all the required sprites to reflect modified key binds. ie If I set a command to M it'll show the little M in box.
Post 3:
I just read the bottom (didn't see it the first time) of the OP that says when to use WINDOW setting and it says "particularly with more than one processor in the system". ????!!?!?!
Sooooo what, this game is meant to run smoothly on single core computers like Pentiums?? This singles out amost everybody.
This is stupid. Apprecieate the effort, but getting disappointed. If there's a glitch that can't be fixed and needs a workaround, be honest about it.
Just one thing:
please, double the max volume of the background music to have more width adjustment. At this time, I have to decrease the sfx, voices, external apps (axon, ts) and increase the master volume of the OS to have a potent BGM. I like the soundtrack, I want to hear it as high as the shots fx without having to reduce the volume of everything else.
Thank in advance!
;D
until...
If not is this your case, the ice have blue smoke fx that require pixel shadder. Verify your shadder model, version and so on.
If yet not your case, see game specs and wait wbacon answer.
;D
- screen full of foes;
- room with two ice doors;
- round building in the beginning of the game, with the "golden" interior.
My card is a GT 630m, with 5.0 shaders.
