wait until it goes on sale. its not really worth 20$ as it is.

it's playable, but could use more tweaks and such, long time since any dev. posted on its current situation

thank you for the advice :)

The game is far too slow and choppy on my system to be playable. The graphics are rather simplistic too, so I don't see the reason for the poor performance. And note that I'm not the only one complaning about this performance issue. In other words, I wouldn't recommend it in its current state.

PS. I run just about everything at 1080p with max detail (or close to it). This game's poor performance really stands out like a sore thumb.

It runs smoothly on my system, though it's a bit glitchy, e.g., landscape features like bridges will sometimes not pop into view until I'm nearly on top of them.

I'd wait for a sale too, not because of technical issues but because honestly, the game is pretty mediocre. It's not a *bad* game (I've spent 19 hours playing it so far and intend to finish) but if you've played a lot of other CRPGs there won't be a lot you haven't seen before elsewhere, and there are enough rough edges in the user interface and the gameplay to be a more or less constant low-level annoyance. For example, expect to spend a lot of time manually moving the various popups like the inventory, quest list, and lore list around the screen because it doesn't remember where you put them and pops them all on top of each other by default, which is a problem since you're often expected to drag things from your inventory to one of the other windows. It's mostly little stuff like that where you'll think, "How could they have played the game and not been annoyed enough by this to spend ten minutes fixing it?"

10mn coding? Ha ha! Why write such absurdity? To make your whole comment ridiculous and hard to consider credible?

But if I forgot the 10mn absurdity, I understand your point because I constantly see points like that, even in games less unpolished than what seems be this one.

They are busy with a new game I think I read. So, they will let this one dry dead. The next one maybe too. Dont know. But this doesnt sound well.

Hi mr bigdad. We are developing a sequel, but we also noted on several occasions, the new LoD patch is in the works and should be ready pretty soon.

I myself was wondering about that patch, It was announced quiet a long time ago and when I saw the announcement that LoD was "complete" awhile ago, and thought that meant the patch had been released, but it hadn't.

Legends of Dawn was "complete" in the terms of fulfilling our obligations towards Kickstarter backers. That doesn't mean we forgot about the patches. We are a very small team so patching takes time, unfortunately.

Believe me, you don't want the game. It's a good idea, but the game would need more work to really be a good game - and the devs have gone AWOL.

this game is boring as hell and completely imbalanced and unrewarding.

do yourself a favor - do NOT buy this game, at least until it's remade, if this will ever happen

There is modding tools, but there aren't really any mods that I know of, not many anyway. I was hoping a player made playability patch would be made, which is why I bring it up, but nope. none of those out there. Tried doing it myself, but even with instructions the tools are a bit convoluted.

What they should have done is put the game on early access after the kickstarter so they could actually finish it.

I had "some" fun with it when this game was released just exploring but quickly saw how unpolished it was and could only play maybe 20 - 30 min at a time due to how unoptimized it also was.

Still waiting on this "patch" so I can install it again and perhaps finish the game one day, heh.

I can dream right?
