I'd say Baldur's Gate 1 & 2

It says the enchanced edition of the 2nd games is coming out soon do you know what that contains?

Shadows of Amn & Throne of Baal... plus probably the same bonuses as the original. You know new characters, weapons, & the like. Speaking of the Enhanced Editions, do you know if the Enhanced Edition of BG1 has Tales of the Sword Coast?

Baldur's. For sure. It's so damn fun, and will be an easy transition if you came up playing pen and paper Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. I actually refer to my 2nd ed players guide if I have general questions about spells. If you have an Intel video card, make sure you check the Baldur's gate message boards for solutions to get the game to work with these cards. Have fun.

How hard is balders gate to learn and if i play the 2nd first would that be bad?

the second game is definitely the better one... but you will find yourself a bit lost in terms of story and setting if you begin with it.

definitely start with part one and there is a slight learning curve with regards to mechanics and D&D rules but once you know it its like butter baby....:plane:

Fallout 1 and 2, without question.

If you desperately need a fantasy fix (as if every other game didn't cater to this already), go with Baldur's Gate.

...and then check out the brilliance of Fallout.

Fallout 2 has been my #1 favorite video game since the day it came out and I play through at least once every year--- it just so happens that Brian Fargo is about to release Wasteland 2. He created the world of Fallout because Interplay didn't have the rights to Wasteland (which I think was the first sandbox-style game). Anyway, it looks really good-- very exciting.

Baldurs gate 1 (get the enhanced edition) then roll into baldurs gate 2 (the enhanced edition will probly be released by the time you finish 1 if you go slow)
BG 2 enhanced edition will have some extra content, including an evil thief (a sorely missing NPC).
Fallout 1 and 2 are awesome, but BG is simply the best. No other way to put it.

Baldur's Gate 2 is the best crpg, ever. The perfect mix of storytelling, combat, freedom and fun.
Fallout games are the epitome of satire,Ffallout 2 especially. In a way, they're better than BG2, even.
Planescape:Torment has the best storytelling I've ever seen.

Planescape Torment. Get my Vote. The only issue is that the game is OLD. The graphics may hurt your eyes on certain resolutions.
