Progam crashes after clicking exit since yesterday?
Since yesterday, whenever I try to leave the program by clicking exit, it crashes, and needs to be shut down through taskmanager (program unresponsive). The last months everything worked fine... do others also have this problem or am I alone? Its strange as there was no update yesterday, or?

Same here must be a bug from yesterday's patch.
Same here.
Same here, but it crashed during gameplay, too. then it said save-file corrupt und all my cards are gone.
Getting same here too, since last patch or update, bit annoying!
still going on... thankfully I backed up my save files so I'm not risking the save file corruption...
Same here
Same with me too. Hopefully they resolve it soon.

Use either steam built in backup option or:
c:/programfiles/steam/steamapps/common... just copy the entire folder of MPQ on different partition or a flash drive or a slave hard drive
Crashing on me every time I exit too. Hope I dont get that horrible sounding file corrupter. I have a LOT in this.

Actually, unless it was recently changed, this won't back up your save. This game doesn't support the Steam cloud service. The save file is located in your windows user folder. For win7/8 (unless you changed the user folders) it's C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Demiurge Studios\Marvel Puzzle Quest\slot0 and the file is mpq_save.dat. Copy that file somewhere else to back it up. You also need to copy that file if you want to play on a different machine.

Side note: I am also having the crash on exit issue.
Same problem here, crash everytime I click exit.
Just started the game and it came up with an empty events tab and subsequently closed out fine, without crashing.

So indeed; the problem was in the recently downloaded event data. I restarted the game to let it download a content patch (as the most likely cause for a sudden empty events tab is your downloaded event data is stale) and now the events come up fine and the game closes out fine.

[EDIT]
Aaaanndd it's back to crashing on exit again after having played atleast one mission.
