Linux version??
What happened to the linux version?
Doesn't seem to be day 1, so is there any ETA?
Literally the only thing holding me and a whole community back from buying this game.

Oi! Laptop!

Did you get a response from the developers or not?
I said when I get a response I'll post one here.

Warner Brothers are tied up with Arkham Knight at the moment (go take a look at those forums if you like), so they're quite busy.

Oh right, completely forgot about that, when are we going to see arkham knight on Linux? I remember it said it will be coming fall 2015 on it's steam page, guess that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Why does WB even set such impossible goals to itself?

Well that's annoying... Let's hope your email isn't lost in the flood of emails stemming from the Batman: AK ♥♥♥♥up.
Mad Max only has a very small PR team because there's no DLC planned and the game is released, so there's no reason to have a big team working on it.

Most of WB are tied up with Arkham Knight at the moment, but given how successful Mad Max has been, I would have thought it quite likely this will get ported.

Remembering that it's Feral Interactive doing the port (who ported over the first two games in the franchise) they probably could have gotten the Mac and Linux ports done this Autumn. However they instead chose to delay launch into the spring so that they can optimize the game properly.

Who knows if they can get the Mac and Linux versions running like the Windows versions should be running right now and if they're successful at it, you'd hope that they'd backport this version to Windows (which should be able to run it with some minor modifications remembering that Windows can run OpenGL as well).

Still... I know Avalance might not have a very big PR department like their parent company, but you'd think that they would still be able to take 15 minutes to answer a simple question.

All we could get is a "it will happen when it happens"

If they haven't said anything to me, they won't have anything for you.

Mad Max Still no release information or cancellation?
L_A_G Nov 10, 2015 @ 11:19am
My guess is that the decision if they're going to finish and release the version or not has been delayed to some point of time in the future, maybe next year, when initial adoption numbers for SteamOS are in. Until then they're going to continue giving us the silent treatment. Spoke to a representative from AMD (guy had the ambitious title of "Chief Gaming Scientist") last summer and they're supposedly doing something similar with better investment into Linux drivers.

Still... I've got plenty of backlog to clear with recently released Linux titles like Alien: Isolation and Company of Heroes 2 to hold me over until they finally decide to tell us if they're going to finish and publish the Linux/SteamOS version or not.

At this moment in time, there is no Mac nor Linux port planned for Mad Max.
