Launch game in specific resolution
I've read a few comments about resolution but they're very old and apparently starting options dont' work. Is there any launch option I can use to make it run in a specific (window) resolution? Because whatever resolution I stretch it to, it reverts back to a default and there are no options in game that I know of to change it. I was playing this for a long time back in the day and I think I remember it used to keep resolution but I'm not positive.

EDIT: Nevermind that, I just played 1.036 version and it didn't keep resolution. Still.. any way to launch it in a desired (even from a few selected ones) resolution?

Nope, there is no such setting. UnEpic uses the very same resolution your system does. If you want a specific resolution change your system setup before starting the game.

You're thinking of "fullscreen mode", that's not how it works though in "window mode".
desktop size: 1920x1080 ... window size: 1024x768
(from the game's log)
I don't know where it got that from so I'm looking for options..

Had to go to the old forums and in fact in the spanish language. Apparently the default resolution is 1024x768 but I haven't seen a reply there from franfistro that there isn't such a setting, but neither that there is. Then again I use translator so..

PS. The english original board over there is crashed. There was a lot of information in that board about many issues and help with Unepic. Will that be fixed at some point?

Aye, default resolution in "window mode" is 1024x768. The game reverts back to it's default on each and every start and there is no way to change that. There is no setting for resolution inside the game's config.cfg file (folder "Steam\userdata\<yourSteamID>\233980\remote").

Anyway, i would not bother playing UnEpic in "window mode". The game displays just too tiny this way.

The only person who can fix the old forums is Fran hinself and i doubt he'll invest any time for that since they are "old".

I know about the non existant resolution in config.cfg and was hoping there's a secret command line that would change it (that he still hasn't shared with us :p )
I play games mostly in window mode because I want to be aware of other notification/messages etc from other apps. For Unepic I make it the largest window and so the size of the graphics is practically the same (keeping ratio) as fullscreen.
He is probably busy indeed with the other project or elsewhere but just because they're "old", as you say, it doesn't mean they're redundant. They have useful info on parts of the game that people ask around here and mostly they're part of the history of the game too. I'm not holding my breath but I keep a hope that he'll eventually find some time and fix them..

Connect a second screen to your GPU, play games like UnEpic on display 1 in full screen and put all your notification stuff on display 2. Problem solved.

Heh..you're assuming I have a second screen.. But anyway, problem is solved indeed with max-window, it's a case of habit I suppose. People who like window dislike FS and vice versa. I only rarely play FS by now mostly probably by habit.
