"Make a combo of 5" tips?

Does anyone have any tips for doing this challenge stone? I can't seem to make a combo of 5 =/

I think the trick is to remember that "Idle Twists" don't count in challenge stones. That means that you can twist everything as much as you want to get gems in the position that you want. I haven't been at this stone yet though so I can't help you precisely.

A combo of 5? Simple: do a plus sign of gems in the dead center. Make L's out of 3 or 4 different colors, leaving the center one twist away from making a x8 combo. It's the same situation with the x7 combo stone...
