Prisoners Wont go to Kitchen School
Ok guys, i am stumped. I started the class that will let my prisoners learn to work in the kitchen. it says i have 19 prisoners interested, but no one ever goes to the class. im not sure what im doing wrong.

I have 2 kitchens, both have normal doors (not staff doors). there is no zoning set on those rooms (they are all white in the zoning screen). What the heck am i missing here?

any help is appreciated....

Do you have enough time in your Work Regime, is the correct kitchen in the schedule, are your prisoners heavily suppressed at any point, did you even set a lesson?

im not sure what you mean.. set a lession? and i dont know what you mean by is the correct kitchen in your schedule. How do i set a kitchen? i thought that if i had a kitchen available, and the class was scheduled, prisoners would go to it. what do you mean?
Did you even click the button that is next to the Kitchen lesson thingy? I forgot what is written on it, but you find it on the right of every activity you can teach or have the prisoners do.

You have to manually add the number of lessons you want to give, because they cost a small amount of money, and the game gives you control over how much you spend.

ok i just checked the game and i have no clue what you are talking about... where is the 'button next to the kitchen lesson thingy?'.... all i see is start and stop classes buttons, which i have started (4 of them... prisoners wont go to them for some reason)
Eh, just give us a screenshot of your Education tab, we'll just go from there.

So, you've now started a class, you have prisoners in queue and you have no message like "all rooms booked" or anything, right?
How many lessons do you have scheduled, one, or more?

Do you have work time in your regime?

do you have multiple kitchen, then you should check in the edit scheduletab within the reform tab, if the kitchen-reformprogram is in the right room. if you hover at the top of the timetable on the roomdescription it will scroll to the room

helpful would as always a screenshot of your deployment view (whole prison). As often happens that prisoner have to walk over insecure area and arent allowed to.

Also your inmates wont join any reform program if they are suppressed by punishment or armed guards.

thanks for the help guys.. i got it working but im honestly still not sure how.

The cooking class says that you need 5 cookers, and i had 5, but i noticed that the cooks were also using them to prepare meals, so i added a bunch more cookers. That still didnt do it tho. I moved the classes around and prisoners finally started coming in.

What i THINK is that, the class was scheduled too close to a mealtime, and the cooks were cooking so they couldnt teach the class. At least i THINK thats what was going on....

This is not a bug, it's a user error. He is not correctly schedualing the program. Firt you need to edit your regime to add a 2 hour work session (3 for educational programs) Then you need to accualy schedual a class. There is a little grey box on the far side of the programs tab, under each program that says 'schedual' click it. It will start the class. The classes will take priority over using the cooker to make dinner, it jsut needs to be durring a work period.

i have no little grey box on the far side of the programs tab.... on the BOTTOM of the programs tab i have a BIG grey box that says EDIT SCHEDULE.. is that what you mean?

OK, assiming you have the corect staff, and have researched the corect things, this is what your programs will look like:

On the line where is says kitchen, betwen the 2 bold blakc line is the grey button you hit to schedual. The game will guess where you want the program, you can pick a specific room/timeslot in the sdit schedual. This will open basiclly a spreadsheet, but it's a touch more coplicated, right at first letting the game schedual for you should be fine.
