What inpired the game's creator? (architectural styles in the game)

I was reading this post: http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/HamishGrace/20160128/264522/Brutalist_Architecture_in_Games.php

Apparently this page lists games with "brutalist" style, but I think Kairo is more likely "suprematist".

Please take a look at the first building of the game: http://imgur.com/a/2CYWv

Then here is a mock-up by Kazimir Malevich from 1923 with the title "Suprematist architecture": http://imgur.com/a/BFf8d

Am I the only one, who sees the resemblance?

Or it could be the shoe-lace budget and badly-textured structures that would make Tomb Raider II feel good about itself.

On several occasions I had thought about brutalism, as well.
