I'm assuming like the majority of them since it's been released it's just to plug their newest game or upate for it

yeah most likely them opening spam screens again ... only advertisments in the news about released stuffs in their other games/versions ... I stopped checking a while back (read years)

I don't understand why they just don't leave them in place and just activate them based on the system date ... instead we get the joy of 'updating' and downloading again and again each year

The halloween stuff is applied by PC date (its literally just flag you can toggle in a config file).

My bet is the spam advertising update.

the halloween assets have just been removed from our assets folders again

I did check before 'updating' ;)
