What engine is the game running on?

A heavily modified Unreal Engine 3.

Why not UE 4?

When we started work on KF, UE 4 was not an option and switching at this point would likely add an additional 2 years to the project (and un-needed cost).

When will it be released?

When it is done

Will KF 1 DLC transfer to KF 2

No it will not. The two games have different sets of content.

Is this a Steamworks title?

Yes

What about platforms that are not Windows?

Yes, Linux and SteamOS are planned for development. Playstation 4 is in ongoing development.

Will it have an SDK/Be moddable?

Yes it will. If you want to get started early grab the last UE 3 build of the UDK and start working with that and pay attention to our KF 2 modding forums. We will be adding in items such as Scale and other useful information.
