What game engine does KF2 run on?
As per title, also how is the optimisation for the game currently.

I run a core i5 2500K 4x 3.7GHz with 16GB DDR3 an Nvidia 670GTX 2GB is this enough to run it at full settings @ 1080p and hope for 60fps?

Unreal Engine.

thx - i guess it means optimisation wise the game should be ok if its UE3
It runs on a heavily moded UE3 (3.75 about :D)

I haven't got a similar processor as yours, but the rest kinda matches... And for me it won't run with everything on full(ultra) at 60 (got flex gibs switched on, but even without that on it wouldn't do a steady 60).
It's UE3, yeah.

If you want to max and have things such as PhysX Flex, and still get 60fps, then you'll be needing a GTX 980 at least I'd imagine

As far as I know it's a hybrid between UE3 and UE4, but mostly on the UE3 side.

Call it UE3.5 if you will.

Your GPU should be fine enough for ultra + gibs (Reflection may need to be turned off), however while playing this game on a 3.6Ghz 4810MQ I have found there to be a CPU bottleneck. Core 1 would max out at 100% while the other 3 cores would not and frames would drop. The workload is not evenly shared between the cores.

Disabling the first core then enabling it again can help with that though I don't know if it will work on KF2, I know this works on Total War Rome 2 as this was one of the fixes because for some reason it uses Core 1 so much but doing this fix can even it out.
