There are nearly 50 SS cosmetic items available (not counting precious).
You can check them out for yourself by going to the Ingame Shop and look under the tab Market: Cosmetics. Scroll down to the bottom and there they are.

Lets do the math:
Best case scenario > A sane person with available time could get four tickets per day. That would ammount to 120 tickets for the whole month.
Realistic scenario > Counting in the at least 50% chance for getting an USB / Crate / Item instead of a ticket, we can halve the ticket total.

To get every one of the 50 cosmetics ONCE you would need 250 tickets.
So even in the best case scenario AND if there were no duplicates you would still need to buy 26 premium tickets to fill up, which would cost you 64,74\$.
In the realistic scenario that would be 38 premium tickets costing 94,62\$.

Yes I know, getting all SS cosmetics is not a realistic goal for most people.
I just thought I would illustrate the math behind the "free" SS cosmetics, not because I'm angry or frustrated or wanting to start a MT flame war, but to objectively deconstruct the processes behind the curtain.

And while getting all SS cosmetics is not realistic as a goal to begin with, it is a realistic goal for most of the people to get at least a few of the cool cosmetics like facepaints.
But they are hidden behind a wall of differently coloured clown noses, hats etc.

Looking at my math above and counting in that you can get duplicates and that some people only get one ticket per day on average (like me) you can do your own math and calculate how big your chance is to get one of the desired items for free.
(Spoiler alert: It is veeeery low)

My advice to Tripwire: Next time you do an event with time-limited cosmetics in such a high quantity, at least make them trade- & sellable after the event.
I don't know if the profits coming from premium tickets are worth the disappointment and rage I have withnessed so far by customers on this forum.
And the people here are only the minority of players.

If you understand that it's not realistic to get all the cosmetics, what is the point of all the calculations in your post?

At the very least, there's 8 different cosmetics. That seems quite reasonable to obtain. If you get one ticket a day, that's 6 cosmetics if you're lucky. for which you didn't have to pay anything. Yeah you might get duplicates...or variants...but again, why exactly do you expect to get all of it.

You keep saying that but that's really what you're looking to do. You are angry. You objectively explaining the processes, but you're so utterly biased. Which is why you spent paragraphs calculating things that again aren't really reasonable as you yourself state.

These drops are free. Stop the quotes. You don't have to pay a cent for them. You may not get everything but again, why do you feel like you have to get everything. You can get something. May not exactly what you want but okay. It's clearly a wheel of Fortune. There's just this sense of entitlement because a player can't just look as a random grab bag that they get just for playing the game.

Maybe next year to avoid disappointment, TWI shouldn't give any drops at all. Just give one costume skin a la the hazmat. That's it. Play for 20 minutes to get it. Nothing else fore "free".

LOL indeed. This guy just spoke what I felt. Free event cosmetics and yet more complaints. Some people disgust me.

As far as I know, you're not supposed to be garantueed a ticket.
And personally, I wouldn't mind getting normal drops instead as I consider all of the sideshow items butt ugly but I can't sell or recycle them into crafting material (just more tickets) meaning I don't get anything from tickets besides items I don't want.

i got 8 tickets so far...grind is real

Considering it is an annual event, it's not that much of a big deal to not being able to unlock everything in one go. What's annoying is that you can't be sure you'll get the cosmetics you want (in my case, the piggy mask), and that you can't trade them if you have something you don't want or a dupplicate.

Perhaps there should not be any free items at all, just to get the OP to shut up his whining about not being to get them all for free.
Brovah Jun 17, 2017 @ 9:19am
A lot of them look like garbage anyway.
Pyro Penguin Jun 17, 2017 @ 9:23am
You should just be able to pick your prize, maybe have higher ticket cost for the rarest ones.

I completely agree with this, the rest is just virtual goals people care or not care about. Limited is supposed to mean obtainable for a limited time but tradable even after the event, not restricted only to player's luck.

I love free items, I love free dlcs, I love the new zed skins, map and event. I'll farm and grind tickets while I can and I'll be happy with the FREE skins I get : 3.

Don't need or want all the SS cosmetics about the only ones I really want are the facepaints and maybe just a couple of them. Whoever needs all the cosmetics has a larger problem than getting said cosmetics.
