How to get in touch with the developers
Hi y'all!

We're a very small studio so we have to keep pretty focused & aren't always able to keep up with discussion forums like this one. If you'd like to get in touch with us for support, questions, or really any other reason, please feel free to email us at cardboardcomputer@gmail.com

thanks!

I sent you an email about my lack-of-ability to launch the game on Linux.

Thanks.

It's awesome to see the developers getting involved with the fans! I just bought this game and it looks fantastic!

So what did you do with all the money we gave you?

Don't know how much you gave them; I know my contribution wasn't worth much more than a warm meal.

Obviously, they gave you three game episodes and three bonus games so far for your money.

So, why are you so rude?

I may guess he is rude because the remaining episodes are not out after so much time, which means they don't do anything. This is not a 3D game with hard to programm special effects and such. It should not take so long by any means.

I spotted this game when it was in Greenlight. I wanted to buy it right afterwards, but then I saw that it was episodic and everyone said that for one episode yet it is too much of a price. So I waited untill all of them will go out. And waited. And forgot. Now I remembered - searched for it to check and guess what? It's STILL not finished! I begin to doubt if this game even deserves to be bought, because I would feel bad for giving my money to someone who doesn't even work. Maybe I'm gonna watch in on youtube instead. ~two years from now, if they're gonna keep their pace.

This might be the most egregious non-sequitur that I've heard in some time.

"I haven't seen any birds today, therefore all the birds are dead."

Consider the amount of work they need to pull off (I heard the episodes are pretty short), consider that they're most likely already have the script and most of the assets. Now consider that this should be true for the time episode 2 came out. And consider how much time they had over that moment.
People pull off bigger projects with smaller teams and budget (I have no idea what their budget is, but I guess it's soon gonna run out and they'll abandon the project, unless there're still people who buy this game).
So yeah. Birds most likely are dead.
I like this metaphor.

Yes, if you play carelessly and without paying attention to details, this game must seem pretty short. I love focusing on details, and from this point of view this game is ENDLESS.
It is so rich in details and external quotes and self quotes that if you like some intricate yet delightful and enjoyable reading you'll still find new things you've missed even at the 4th or 5th replay. I agree with you that the work pace is far from desirable from a gamer POV, but I still hope they're taking their time to deliver the best piece of art they can; literally, this is the most artful game I've ever met, it's even structured as a theatrical play! I don't know, maybe it can't be classified as a 'videogame' in the modern sense, but i surely enjoy it, so it is at least a wonderful Entertainment. Like Weaver said: "You have it all backwards. I'm not surprised; are you? Have you been paying attention? I don't think you have. It's time to start paying attention now, Conway". OMG I love KRZ too much, kudos to the developers!

I don't think the reaction on Steam would be so bad if the developers would post announcements or updates every now and then. Just let us know that you're making progress, that things are happening, that you still intend on finishing the game. Surely you have a schedule in mind for when you'd like to release the remaining episodes. Any way you could share that with us? It would make the Steam audience feel much better about supporting it. Instead, what you have is review after review saying this game is a scam. That's a problem, but it's not hard to remedy.

Exaggerate much?
In June, 13 recent reviews were positive, 10 were negative.

PR can't make this game be more complete than it is; I doubt that many of these reviewers would be swayed into a positive review by better PR.

Check out Twitter if you want to know "that things are happening, that you still intend on finishing the game" - it's there.

It's not an exaggeration. But you're right, PR can't make it more complete than it is. It can however change people's perception of what is happening with it. You can't make a few tweets here and there and expect that to be enough. Steam is the largest gaming platform ever. It's naive to think that how they're handling the PR for this game is remotely enough.

The pace of and writing within emotionally explain why the journey will continue when it's ready.
