In my experience, this is a pretty rare issue, and usually not related directly to Warframe. Check your network settings, and see if it happens with anyone else. If it does, it's an issue with your connection, or it's just downstream from you. If it doesn't, the problem's on their side.
Warframe uses peer-to-peer hosting, so whoever is the one who initiated the mission (in this case, the dojo) has to be able to be reached by all the others in the mission, otherwise the non-hosts get kicked.
The reason Maroo's worked is because Maroo's bazaar is a Relay, and relays are hosted by Warframe's own servers - there's no peer-to-peer hosting going on there.
