Rhino Prime or just Rhino? because Rhino never was released
Now that I think about it, the game may have technically been in Beta. Don't really remember but Rhino definitely wasn't a playable yet. This is one of the reasons I can see more then most how far this game has come. The melee, the movement, variety, the UI,etc.
Uhh, i can't find anything in Closed Beta Update notes about Rhino being released, like he was available from the start

Before I start, I gotta say the regular one is a steaming pile of slag, even if I love it. It has mediocre damage, a damage type that is comparatively limited compared to the others, average reserve ammo, and a horribly long reload. However this is alright, you should not bring it to high leveled content to begin with and should be a fine star-chart weapon or a fun goofing off weapon. I assume you have it already, so start your build with your 3 staples: Serration, Heavy Caliber and Split chamber all maxxed. From there, since it doesnt have good status or crit you can slap your stat mods on it to help it's damage out a bit, and for your last slot I would try to fix your reload speed, or you can go for crash course if you have it. I havent actually Forma'd the regular one yet, but I plan to max it out after I finish the wraith. http://warframe-builder.com/Primary_Weapons/Builder/Gorgon/t_30_22233300_131-6-5-132-1-5-133-3-5-137-0-10-138-5-5-141-4-5-150-2-10-534-7-5_137-7-132-8-150-8-133-6-141-6-138-6-131-11-534-11/en/2-0-9 This is the build.
If you have the Wraith, it's a different story. You get slightly better damage and reload in addition to a 5% higher status chance. Do take advantage of this status with dual stat mods primarily because the weapon is so fast you will be proccing shots like a madman. For a stat build I would forgo heavy caliber and just go for Serration and split chamber, then focus on what you're building for. Do you want to strip armor or lack x4 CP? Go for Corrosive and Blast. Do you have x4 CP? Go for Radiation and Viral. You should have 2 utility mod spaces open, so for one I would consider Hammer-shot for a DPS increase and added status chance, then for your last one you can probably consider Heavy Caliber if you want more damage, or a reload mod to help out it's still below average reload. I haven't actually made this build yet, since I don't have the stat mods, but this is how I would build it and I would assume it would be viable. http://warframe-builder.com/Primary_Weapons/Builder/Gorgon_wraith/t_30_22200000_128-4-3-132-1-5-137-0-10-150-2-10-153-7-3-265-3-3-329-6-3-355-5-3_137-7-132-8-150-8-265-7-128-7-355-7-329-7-153-9/en/2-0-45 Here's the build, alot more economical at 3 formas and with almost 80% status chance. Don't forma anything else except the 3 big mods so you can swap your status mods around easily.
Lastly, the Prisma Gorgon. Now I'm going to be biased here because this thing is without a doubt my favorite automatic rifle in the game, and it's one I routinely take to High level content. It's simple to build as well, basically build it how you would build your Soma. Crit mods, elementals, staples, ect. My build is at 6 forma, so while it may seem a bit over your head, I'll say that it's easily the best of the 3 and while not a top tier weapon is completely fine to bring to high level content. The secret to it is the extra crit and the increased ammo pool, which just over all increases the usability of the rifle. Also, it looks gorgeous. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/1475279976753322800/F43AF901685DE49A3AAC65CF2A17739903614F6E/
Basically, I'd reccomend either the Prisma or the Wraith. Boltor Prime fanboys may be right about the rifle being better than these puppies, but at least in the case of the Prisma it's not that much ahead. I wish you luck getting your rifles man, I hope you end up enjoying them as much as I do, haha.
♥♥♥♥ how long ago did I play this? Rhino definitely wasn't available for play at the time. Can't even verify since I can't find anything like yourself. They gave me a crap ton of free stuff though. DE is a nice enough company that when they removed mods, they compensated you for it.

The Multishot ontop of all the crits allows for a just massive damage dealer.
People don't use it as often because either they didn't get it or because they're idiots who stick to their Boltor Primes all day.Or just haven't looked at it hard enough, I dunno.
Better to shoot something 40 times and kill it than shoot it twice and then continue to shoot everything else in the room once, according to their logic.
