Thinking of doing a "colossal sword" build

I've been playing Elden Ring running a colossal sword build and it got me thinking if I could do the same thing here, especially since I found a heavy weapon skin in the cash shop that looks like a futuristic zweihander.

Which heavy melee weapons are worth going for? I've already got the Galatine and Scindo Prime, but putting a sword skin on a two-handed axe just feels wrong (not to mention it will mess with me in game since the actual hit box of the weapon will be different from its model).

War is definitely an A tier big sword, sure it's not as crazy as Gram Prime but it's still really good. Of course if you invest nothing into it then it is indeed trash.

If you just want it to LOOK cool, you grab the Zenistar because there's a really old bug with one of its skins that makes it look about 5x larger than it should.
Edit: it's the "Dominion skin" btw. there's tons of videos and pics of the bug online

yes. that one. It *ONLY* bugs out on the Zenistar, but that is a strange and quirky weapon and worth an experiment or two.

Great option! Then take the melee blade skin from Chroma Deluxe pack and plop it on for a very big looking blade.

It only becomes large when used with Zenistar.

Zenistar is really fun right now btw if you use tennokai, naramon and influence/vortex.

I would say when it bugs out like Zenistar, its more akin to your avatar's "slab of metal" :)

Nah - just do riven farming 'til you get one and roll it forever; I ended up with one that brings it to 100%+ for crit chance + status chance, and paired with the classic Viral/Burn statuses. Not the best sword, but it can clear the Steel Path Stalkers and stuff without too much effort.

But yeah - that is also a luck based drop or probably worth a couple plat, so this is totally me being a clown lol; did also take like 20 rolls once I got one for War

I would suggest looking at the stat comparisons on the wiki, such as on https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Two-Handed_Nikana or https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Heavy_Blade

It may also be worth trying the different Stance mods on an otherwise non-upgraded weapon (in an easy mission, like E Prime) to get a feel for how the chosen weapon type moves with that stance. That way, you don't end up building an amazing weapon that feels horrible to use.

I find the Reach mod(s) to be pretty helpful - and so the hitbox will never match up with the weapon in my own builds. :-)

give a try to tenet exec , you can do easily more than 4M aoe damage with a heavy slam attack, if you min max ( arcane , combo etc ) you can reach more than 200M per hit.
the only downside is the skin...

Definitely the Zenistar if you have access to it, with the Dominion skin bug (which will likely never be fixed cause DE has stated that they dig it), it's the ultimate cosplay option. With Rending Crane, it has the feedback of a proper soulsborne/ER colossal weapon.

There are others that are statistically better but you can't beat
