Recovering negative balance (got scammed I think) through pack purchase from website

You can be banned for a negative plat balance so I would top up quick before DE catches on.

Yea that's why I'd like to know if it's possible to buy the packs with platinum rather than the standalone platinum pack.

you can...just buy plat or packs off the offical sites or affilated partners, anything that pushes your plat to positive.
I assume you bought plat off a 3rd party site the first time and there was a reverse or removal of plat

No, I got gifted 2 boosters from a local online shop, then the next day the vendor is gone from the online shop and the player's profile is gone.

That doesn't make sense Getting boosters as a gift wouldn't end with DE taking plat from your account.

You can't get negative balance unless you went out of your way to bought plat from someone / someone giving you plat, which likely they bought plat in-game and gave that to you, but did a chargeback and ran off with your money if you bought it from them.

You can only buy plat via DE website, or their in-game store only no where else, if you go to any other site, or bought plat from anyone, you did not buy plat from DE at all.

Yeah that's what my clan suggested what happen, which I think is pretty possible because the price of those boosters with the amount that made my plat balance negative is the same (280 plat in total). And don't worry, I never dared to top up through 3rd party since 2014 I played this game. Besides, the pack are already more than enough.

Regardless of if someone gifted you the boosters, or if you yourself bought the boosters, regardless of whatever site was there or isn't there anymore....

If you have a negative platinum balance, no matter how it must have happened to you, you MUST buy legitimate platinum through DE, either through their website or through the various packs also available here on STEAM.

The fact you can login, SHOWS that you are being given a chance. Before your account gets locked/banned, if you buy legitimate platinum and bring yourself to a positive balance, the whole thing will be water under the bridge.

If you delay, and try and throw out "he said she said" stories to the forums or to your clan, you are just gonna get your butt banned. Make the purchase now, and be cautious about any 3rd party websites, even if its someone else biting the bullet and buying from the site, if the rotten goods end up in your hands, you will be struck down like scum. Zero tolerance policy.

Oh absolutely. And they do more digging than you'd think. More than likely they had all the logs in front of them and saw you debate on if taking the dirty goods would be fine or not. Obviously you decided to go ahead and take the goods anyways, despite knowing it was from a 3rd party site...

Since you mentioned seeing both the site and player gone. More than likely they got the ban hammer for being the one to purchase and receive the ill gotten goods first, and then you got a "warning" period where you had a chance to make things right.

The negative platinum balance issue crops up pretty frequently, always roughly the same story. But even a shred of guilt is still guilt my friend, accomplice to murder is still sin ;p

Get out the negative balance quickly or asap before DE sees it :)
Annoying to see people getting hit by the pay back scam or what ever it is called which gives the receiver of the plat negative values after using it.

Basically someone gave you plat. They then filed a complaint that the transaction didn't happen which gives them the plat back, but leaves yours alone (but the system sees it as it should be in your account since they refunded the other trader). So, when you go and use it, you end up in negative and the kick bot kicks your account...

That last bit, sometimes it is hard to spot when someone is going to give you false plat. But usually from high value trades like rivens. So the person with negative is not always at partly fault
