Best amp after fortuna?

Looking for raw damage build only, and preferably refered by its components name, I never memorize the tier number with its corresponding part

Today I met a guy with a 777 Amp melting the Eidolon's shields with a 10x VS charge. I asked about the amp, he's using a Virtuos Strike set with it.
The Propa Scaffold is kind of like the Shraksun, but seems stronger, the projectile travels 2 metres, explodes and deals damage in a ~30 metres area.
The Certus Brace gives +20% CC

777 is not good for Eidolons unless you have maxed out Focus Way-bounds. You can only get 2 shots out of it. Virtuos Strike is also bad for it, as you only get 2-3 shots, the chance to proc is low and the amount of usefulness it offers is low.

The Prism doesn't matter for Eidolons. Scaffold and Brace do.

The new Brace is the best for Eidolons thanks to increased Crit, so either 27 or 77 are best. 27 if you don't have maxed out Madurai Way-bounds, and 77 if you do. However, for both Virtuos Shadow is the best Arcane - you Void Dash the head to proc it.

Note that the new 77 only offers 3 shots at max before you need to wait for charge. These should be enough with VS, but if you just so happen to get unlucky with Crits and it doesn't take the shield down then you're losing time.

I don't think you guys have been hunting too many eidolons or maybe you have done it in public groups via bounties or something. Before Fortuna Shraksun + Void Strike was the most meta thing ever for eidolon hunting and it propably still is since most people don't have Fortuna amps.

Why do you think everybody talks about x23 (before fortuna) and x27/x77 (after fortuna).

That's because prisms are never used for hunting eidolons, only vomvalysts.

x77 does more damage than x27, that's true. But is a little more complicated to use, specially when the volt in your team doesn't place his shield close to the eidolons.

My personal suggestion is using 627 or 677, because Lega prism is really versatile. It works for any kind of mission, for eidolons and for profit taker battle.

I don't think you guys have been hunting too many eidolons or maybe you have done it in public groups via bounties or something. Before Fortuna Shraksun + Void Strike was the most meta thing ever for eidolon hunting and it propably still is since most people don't have Fortuna amps.

ive been hunting eidolons since they came out on PS4, and all over the internet youde hear about how the tier 2 arca plasmor type amp shot was the best for taking down an eidolons shields

edit: and im sorry, but the secondary fire on the tier 2 amp seems like complete ♥♥♥♥ to me, you cant honestly tell me that thing is better than using the tier 2 primary fire to land multiple hits at once

Prisms mattered before Tridolons, when we were only hunting the Teralyst, because you could ♥♥♥♥ multiple hit boxes with one shot, to offset the lower damage of the shot itself.

Now that we're hunting big ass enemies that we can barely reach, the flat damage of DPS matters more.

still, ive never liked the feel of the tier 2 amps secondary fire, it felt like crap when fired, felt like it did barely any damage to the shield and from what i can remember using it every now and then the range was crap
