Immortal Tank Gara build - opinions, suggestions and thoughts
Aura - Irelephant, I use Dash polarity here because of the far better general utility it provides with stuff like Corrosive Projection, Speed Holster, Energy Siphon, Enemy Sense, etc

Exilus - Cunning Drift

Umbral Vitality, Umbral Intensify, Adaptation, Mending Splinter
Narrow Minded, Augur Reach, Primed Continuity, Primed Flow/Augur Message

At the moment I am using Primed Flow because it offers a much easier time than the extra bit of duration from Augur Message as I am not so constrained with energy, especially since I don't use efficiency.

Although Splinter Storm's damage reduction is capped at 90%, which is reached with just 30% Power Strenght, I use the Umbral combo because Mending Splinter is affected by Power Strenght, and with the two maxed, having Splinter Storm only on yourself will give you almost 5 hp/s regen, which already beats the use of Rejuvenation, but since you can also cast it on your sentinel, which will always get reset as well when using Mass Vitrify, that's around 10 hp/s, and each subsequent target you cast it on will empower it, making a great healing for allies, and if in need of a quick empower, casting it on an enemy will still boost the healing for yourself and allies while still retaining the damage boost on said enemy.

With Adaptation and Mending Splinter, Gara is almost unkillable. The little range is there just to allow her Mass Vitrify and Spectrorage to work as well, and since the build is not focused on scaling Splinter Storm losing Splinter Storm to a Nullifier or off the map drop isn't as much of a set back. (I mean, you can stack it if you want, just that the short range won't do you too much unless you actually go to hug enemies)

I'd like to hear your opinions and thoughts on the build.

Since I have seen some Gara gods clear entire rooms via just one shattered glass barrier, this one sounds neat to me.
Why haven't they nerfed the glass samurai, she seems too good for this world.

If you want god mode on Gara, make 90% dmg resist (130% power ONLY) Max duration

and most importantly

Arcane Aegis

Try it. You wont need adaptation nor mending splinter.

I am already using that Arcane since I don't have Grace and trust me, although it sounds strong for lower levels, it's nowhere near good versus high level enemies which will either brute force through Splinter Storm, cause procs like Slash/Toxin that don't even care about your shields or some random Scrambus screw you over.

If enemies can bruteforce their way through Mesa's Shattered Shield, which has 95% damage reduction, what do you think will happen to Gara who take double that damage?

Adaptation prevents that brute forcing for a much longer period of time while also preventing the Slash/Toxins from killing you, while Mending Splinter will prevent everything for killing you for so much longer, as enemies not only need to force their way through Adaptation and Splinter Storm but also be able to deal enough after all that to also negate that 10 hp/s, which can turn into 20-30 hp/s with a few casts on random enemies.

Point being, even Bombards who use Blast damage which is one of the few things that can bypass Adaptation will have trouble killing you due to all the health regen, so unless those guys one shot you, you ain't dying for a looooooong time, much longer than what your Gara build can cover.
Seems a bit wasteful. A normal Gara played properly shouldn't die even at lvl 150-300.

Agreed, even less so if using weapons that have healing already. Gotta love my Furis and ♥♥♥

I know, I just wanted to push her tankiness level off the charts, as most of the Gara builds I'm seeing are either as the guy suggested above, max duration with a little bit of strenght, or the good old boring cheese setups with max range, so I wanted mine to be a tank, but unlike the other tank builds for her, I've pushed her to 11.

EDIT: Inspiration for that was a quote I read about Mordekaiser's Pentakill skin. "My rig doesn't hit 11, it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ melts 11", and that was what I wanted for her as well.

Afterall, there's no kill like overkill.
